All of the chalets will have not only a generous living area with built-in kitchen, a large terrace and balconies but also their own wellness area with sauna. ‘Quality is the top priority’
einzelnen Rebsorten herauszuarbeiten, und den heranreifenden Weinen eigene Nuancen und nicht zuletzt meine persönliche Handschrift zu verleihen. Es ist jedes Jahr von neuem ein Erlebnis, aber auch eine Herausforderung die Entwicklung, den Reifeprozess der Weine zu beobachten und dementsprechend zu agieren. Meine Liebe zum Wein, unterstützt durch jugendlichen Elan und kreativem Denken, gekoppelt mit vinophilem Verständnis, lässt dabei einzigartige Erzeugnisse entstehen
Andau, ein kleiner Ort inmitten der pannonischen Tiefebene, bietet mit seinen vielen Sonnenstunden und seinen meist schottrigen, mineralischen, wärmespeichernden Böden ein ideales Terroir für den Weinbau. In Andau befindet sich auch das Weingut von Jacqueline Klein. Die engagierte Jungwinzerin kelterte 2010 ihren ersten Jahrgang, und stieg somit mit voller Begeisterung in die Winzerszene ein. Die Eltern, als langjährige Traubenproduzenten, bringen ein großes Portfolio an Erfahrung und vollkommene Unterstützung in den jungen Betrieb ein. Qualität ist oberstes Gebot. Die Basis dafür entsteht bereits in den Weingärten durch die Erzeugung von perfektem Traubenmaterial. Davon bin ich überzeugt. Gezielte Ertragsreduktion, Selektion, optimale Laubarbeit im Weingarten - exaktes, kontrolliertes Arbeiten, saubere und schonende Vinifikation im Keller, sind Standard. Mut, in neuen innovativen Wegen zu denken, die Kür. Auf 20 ha Rebfläche wird 25% Weißwein und 75% Rotwein erzeugt. Bei den finessreichen Weißweinen lege ich Wert auf klare Strukturen, ausgeprägte, frische Frucht und Sortentypizität. Vorrangig aber keltern wir fulminante, rassige Rotweine mit Tiefgang und Charakter, allem voran der Zweigelt – meine Haupt- und Lieblingssorte! Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon und Syrah komplettieren mein Rotweinsortiment. Während die Weißweine in Edelstahltanks reifen, entwickeln sich die Rotweine, nach einer konstant schonenden Gärung, in kleinen Barriques. Hier wird jede Sorte individuell ausgebaut. Die richtige Wahl des Eichenfass ist entscheidend, um Lage und Charakter der
Andau, a small village in the middle of the Pannonian lowlands, offers with its many hours of sunshine, its’ warm gravel and mineral rich soils ideal conditions for the terroir wine culture. The vineyard of Jacqueline Klein is to be found In Andau. This committed young winemaker pressed her first vintage in 2010 and thereby entered, with total enthusiasm, the winemaking community. Her parents, long-standing grape producers, bring with them an extensive portfolio of experience and welcome support to the young business. Quality is the top priority. The groundwork for this stems already in the wine garden with the cultivation of the best quality grapes. Of this I am convinced. A focused reduction in production, selection, optimal pruning in the wine garden - exact, controlled work methods, sparing and clean vinification in the cellars are standard. Courage to go in a new direction of thought are the requirements. On 20 ha of vineyard 25% white wine and 75% red wine are produced. I lay great emphasis on the rich distinction of white wines, the strong clear structures, fresh fruits and the varietal character. Of prime importance is that we press full bodied, racy red wines with deep notes and character, leading the way with the Zweigelt - my main - and favourite sort! Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon and Syrah compliment my red wine selection. Whilst the white wines ferment in stainless steel tanks, the red wines after a consistent and sparing vinification develop in small barriques. Each type is built up individually. The correct choice in oak barrels is decisive in developing the condition and character of the individual types of grapes and not least by giving the maturing wines their own nuances and of course my personal signature. It is not only an adventure that starts afresh each year, but also a challenge to watch and pro-actively manage the development in the fermentation process of the wines. My love of wine is underpinned by youthful vigour and creative thinking coupled with vinophile understanding, leads to the development of unique results.

SHOPPING Die Fünf Höfe ist eine Shoppingpassage in der Münchner Innenstadt. Früher war dieses Gebäude ein Bankkomplex. Die historischen Fassaden wurden erhalten aber der Inhalt ist modern: ein Mix von Geschäften, Restaurants, Cafes und Kunstgalerien. The historic facades were preserved, but the interior is modern: a mix of shops, restaurants, cafes and art galleries.

From, the dirt jump contest 26TRIX to the UCI World Cup Downhill Mountain Biking event through to and including a diverse range of ancillary programmed events. There will once again be something there to meet every mountain bikers taste.

Children can also look forward to being able to participate in the World Games by taking part in the Kids Downhill race. At a height of between 1,000 and 2,000 meters above sea level the Pinzgauer grass slopes offer the best conditions for the contest.
IRON MAN 70.3 27.08.2017 Nach dem erfolgreich ausgetragenen Ironman 70.3 im Sommer 2016, findet dieses Jahr bereits der sechste Half-Ironman in Zell am See-Kaprun, Bruck, Maishofen, Piesendorf statt. Der Wettbewerb ist Teil der Weltserie und gilt als einer der härtesten Ausdauer- und Sportevents der Welt. Die Teilnehmer schwimmen zuerst 1,9 Kilometer durch den klaren Zeller See, absolvieren anschließend die 90 Kilometer lange Radstrecke, um dann nach einer Laufstrecke von 21,1 Kilometer rund um den Zeller See im Stadtzentrum die Ziellinie zu überqueren. After the successful completion of the Ironman 70.3 during the summer 2016, the sixth half-ironman will take place this year in Zell am See-Kaprun, Bruck, Maishofen and Piesendorf. The competition is part of a world series and is recognised as one of the hardest endurance and sporting events in the world. The participants must first swim 1.9 km through the clear Zeller lake, then complete a 90 km long cycle race followed by 21.1 km run around the lake to cross the finishing line in the centre of Zell am See.

SKI & GOLF WORLD CHAMPIONSHIP 10.05.-14.05.2017 Eine geniale Kombination: Auftakt mit Riesentorlauf am Kitzsteinhorn und an den Folgetagen Golfturnier am Golfplatz Zell am See-Kaprun. Mit einem Riesentorlauf auf dem Kitzsteinhorn Gletscher werden die Championships eröffnet, gefolgt von zwei Golfrunden in Zell am See. Zum Ergebnis des Skirennens wird die Schlaganzahl der beiden Golfrunden in einer Kombiwertung addiert. A most excellent combination. To kick-off with a giant slalom on the Kitzsteinhorn glacier and in the days following a golf competition at the Golf Club Zell am SeeKaprun. The championships are opened on the Kitzsteinhorn glacier with a giant slalom, followed by two rounds of golf in Zell am See. The result of the ski run will be added to the number of strokes used in both rounds of the golf competition to come up with a combined score.

I N G R E D I E N TS F O R 4 P O RT I O N S 200 g Bergkäse, 2 EL Butter, 3 Stk Eier, 400 g Mehl, 1 TL Salz, 2 EL Schnittlauch in Röllchen, 200 ml Wasser, kalt, 1 Stk Zwiebel 200 gr alpine cheese, 2 tablespoons of butter, 3 eggs, 400 gr flour, 1 tablespoon of salt, 2 tablespoons of chives in rolls, 200 ml of water, cold and 1 onion
Z U B E R E I T U N G 1. Mehl in eine Schüssel sieben und Eier hineinschlagen, salzen und Wasser angießen, dabei verquirlen. So lange rühren, bis der Teig Blasen wirft. 2. Käse aufreiben oder in kleine Würfel schneiden. Zwiebel schälen und fein würfeln. 3. Reichlich Salzwasser in einem großen Topf zum Kochen bringen. Teig portionsweise in ein Spätzlesieb geben und ins Salzwasser drücken. Aufkochen lassen und nach 2 Minuten, sobald die Nocken an der Wasseroberfläche schwimmen mit einer Lochkelle herausfischen. Kalt abschrecken und in einem Sieb abtropfen lassen. 4. Butter in einer große Pfanne heiß werden lassen, Zwiebelstücke darin glasig dünsten. Nocken zufügen, mit den Zwiebelstücken vermengen und anbraten, dabei wenden. 5. Käsestücke darunter mengen und umrühren, bis der Käse zerlaufen ist. Mit Schnittlauch bestreut servieren.
P R E P A R A T I O N 1. Sieve the flour into a bowl and add the eggs, salt and water. Whilst doing this mix together. Continue to mix until the batter starts to form bubbles. 2. Grate or cut the cheese into cubes. 3. Bring plenty of salted water to the boil in a large pot. Place portions the mixture into a “Spätzl” sieve and press the mixture through this into the salted water. Allow the water to boil and after 2 minutes, or as soon as the “Nocken” start to float on the surface remove them with a ladle. Rinse briefly in cold water and allow them to drain in a sieve. 4. Heat the butter in a large frying pan. Place the onion in the pan and gently fry until glassy. Add the Nocken to the onion, mix and stir. 5. Now add the cheese to the mass and stir until the cheese has melted. Add the chives to serve.

Ein warmer Samstagnachmittag im Garten der Villa d’Este am Comer See. Auf dem Concorso d’Eleganza, dem exklusiven Fest automobiler Schönheit, treffen wir BMW-Chefdesigner Adrian van Hooydonk zum Interview. Zwischen wertvollen Oldtimern und spektakulären Concept Cars unterhalten wir uns mit dem 53-Jährigen über die Zukunft des BMW-Designs, das Carsharing-Auto von Morgen und natürlich über die frisch enthüllte Sportwagen-Studie BMW 2002 Hommage. BMW Chief Designer Adrian van Hooydonk in an interview about the BMW 2002 Hommage, the finer details of the future of BMW designs and the perfect DriveNow car. WO SEHEN SIE IN DIESER HINSICHT DEN BMW 2002 HOMMAGE? “BMW feiert ja in diesem Jahr hundertjähriges Jubiläum und da haben wir uns vorgenommen, weit in die Zukunft zu blicken. Das machen wir anhand von vier Concept Cars, eines für jede Marke. Mit diesen Studien wollen wir zeigen, dass wir bei allen kommenden technologischen Veränderungen zuversichtlich sind, auch in Zukunft emotionale Produkte und individuelle Mobilität bieten zu können.” “Hier in der Villa d’Este geht es hingegen sehr viel um Vergangenheit – auch für uns eine Gelegenheit, um ein bisschen über unsere eigene Historie zu reden. Eine besondere Rolle spielt da natürlich der BMW 2002, der in diesem Jahr fünfzig wird und der seinerzeit für die Wiederbelebung von BMW als Marke gesorgt hat – ab da ging es wieder steil bergauf. Außerdem hat der BMW 2002 unseren Namen als Produzent von sportlichen, kompakten
Fahrzeugen gefestigt und war also auch in dieser Hinsicht für die Firma von besonderer Bedeutung. Als Designer liebe ich dieses Auto ohnehin, denn es ist eigentlich relativ clean, einfach und strahlt trotzdem Dynamik aus. Und wenn man den BMW 2002 als Turbo ansieht, ist er dazu auch noch frech. Dann hat er diese aufgesetzten Radhäuser, diese Beklebung, den Turbo-Schriftzug in Spiegelschrift, der damals ja auch als kleine Provokation gesehen wurde – das fanden wir natürlich inspirierend. Mit dem BMW 2002 Hommage wollen wir nun zeigen, wie wir uns so ein Auto in näherer Zukunft vorstellen. Wenn wir den 2002er nochmal machen würden, würde er so aussehen.”

WENN MAN SICH NUN EINZELNE DESIGN-ELEMENTE WIE DIE VERSCHMOLZENE DOPPELNIERE DES 2002 HOMMAGE ANSCHAUT, KÖNNTEN SIE SICH SO ETWAS AUCH FÜR KÜNFTIGE SERIENFAHRZEUGE VORSTELLEN? “ Ja, das können wir! Wir haben uns den BMW 2002 natürlich sehr genau angeschaut und da ist es so, dass die Doppelniere eine Form ergibt, die in eine schwarze Grafik eingebettet ist. An deren Ende sitzen dann noch die Rundscheinwerfer und das haben wir bei dem Hommage Car eben auch gemacht. Nur ist da die Grafik deutlich flacher – die Nieren auch – und so wirkt das ganze vielleicht noch etwas dynamischer. Außerdem sind die Scheinwerfer auch oben etwas angeschnitten. Das ergibt dann, was wir den „konzentrierten Blick“ nennen. So eine Front können wir uns schon in Zukunft vorstellen, aber das ist natürlich hier erstmal für die Villa d’Este als Studie gemacht.” DAS HISTORISCHE VORBILD FÜR DEN 2002 HOMMAGE WURDE VON EINEM VIERZYLINDER-TURBO ANGETRIEBEN. WAS STECKT HEUTE UNTER DER HAUBE? “ Unter der Haube steckt auch ein Turbo-Motor, und zwar der Motor vom BMW M2. Auch das Fahrwerk stammt vom BMW M2. Eine Straßenzulassung haben wir noch nicht, aber das wäre denkbar. Wir wollen natürlich fahrbare Designstudien bauen, damit wir hier beim Concorso auch mitfahren können.” LETZTES JAHR WAR DER 3.0 CSL HOMMAGE IN EINER ANDERS LACKIERTEN, WEITERENTWICKELTEN VARIANTE IN PEBBLE BEACH ZU SEHEN. KÖNNTE DAS MIT DEM 2002 HOMMAGE EBENFALLS PASSIEREN? “Das könnte durchaus passieren. Pebble Beach ist natürlich auch ein schönes Event, aber das haben wir noch nicht final entschieden. Wir wollten jetzt erst einmal schauen, wie das Auto hier ankommt. Oft ist es aber so, dass schon am Montag das Telefon klingelt und man das Auto dann noch woanders zeigen möchte. Wenn das passiert, ist das natürlich keine schlechte Sache…” WORIN WÜRDEN SIE PERSÖNLICH LIEBER DURCH MÜNCHEN FAHREN – IM BMW 2002 „VON DAMALS“, ODER IM NEUEN HOMMAGE CAR? “Hmm, schwierige Frage. Also ich mag beides, aber mit dem Hommage Car würde das natürlich noch ein bisschen mehr Aufsehen erregen als mit dem Turbo (lacht). Und das ist natürlich auch unsere letzte Kreation als Designteam. Wenn man mich fragt, was mein Favorit von den Autos ist, die wir als Designteam so gemacht haben, dann nenne ich sowieso immer das letzte oder das nächste. Mit dem BMW 2002 Hommage bin ich bisher nur ganz kurz gefahren. Den würde ich also schon gerne mal kurz durch München fahren, denn da kann man auch immer die Reaktionen der Leute testen – das wäre nett, das sollten wir vielleicht mal machen.”
IN WELCHE RICHTUNG ENTWICKELT SICH DAS BMW-DESIGN IN DEN KOMMENDEN JAHREN? EHER IN EIN BISSCHEN IN RICHTUNG VERGANGENHEIT, SODASS MAN ELEMENTE WIE BEIM HOMMAGE CAR AUFNIMMT, ODER EHER RADIKAL IN RICHTUNG ZUKUNFT, WIE ZUM BEISPIEL BEIM BMW I8? “ Ja ich würde sagen, dass sich unser Design generell immer in Richtung Zukunft entwickelt. Wir wollen kein Retro-Design machen. Wir wollen in Zukunft Autos bauen, die sehr charakterstark und expressiv sind, aber wir wollen das mit weniger Linien machen, weniger komplex. Das ist natürlich nicht so leicht, einem Auto starken Ausdruck mit ganz wenigen Linien zu verleihen. Aber das ist das, womit wir jetzt gerade beschäftigt sind und das wird man in den nächsten Jahren von uns sehen. So ein Hommage Car, wie das von diesem oder auch von letztem Jahr, tut das eigentlich auch: Ganz starker Ausdruck, aber mit relativ wenig Linien umgesetzt. Natürlich sind diese Fahrzeuge im Gesamtauftritt vielleicht etwas lauter als Serienautos. Aber ok: dafür sind’s ja auch Showcars und dafür sind wir hier auf diesem besonderen Event.” WELCHES AUTO FAHREN SIE ZURZEIT PRIVAT? “Ich fahre im Moment einen BMW M2 und damit bin ich auch sehr glücklich. Wir haben regelmäßig die Möglichkeit Test- oder Vorserienautos zu fahren, so einer war der BMW i8 auch. Und jetzt ist es eben ein BMW M2 in unserer Launch-Farbe Long Beach Blue. Auch ein sehr schönes Erlebnis.”

WHAT IS UNDER THE BONNET THESE DAYS? “Under the bonnet there is also a turbo engine , that of the BMW M2. The chassis also comes from the BMW M2. It is not licensed for public roads as yet, however it should be possible. We want to build design studies to drive so that we can also participate in the Concorso.”
WITH THE STUDY BMW VISION NEXT 100 THEY LOOK TO THE DISTANT FUTURE OF THE BRAND. WHERE DO YOU SEE THE BMW 2002 HOMMAGE IN THIS CONTEXT? “BMW celebrates its’ centenary this year and we decided to look way further into the future. We are doing this on the basis of four concept cars, one for each brand. We want to show with these studies, that we confident that with all the technological changes we can still offer emotional products and individual mobility in future.” “Here in the Villa d’Este it is much more about the past - it is also an opportunity for us to discuss our history a little. The BMW 2002 of course plays a special role, it is 50 this year, and in its time it was responsible for the revitalisation of the BMW Brand - from then on things improved dramatically. Furthermore, the BMW 2002 established our name as a producer of sporty compact vehicles and from this point of view it is of particular importance to our company. As a designer I love this car anyway, it is actually relatively clean and simple, however, it still radiates dynamic. When you look at the BMW 2002 as a turbo it is also cheeky, as it has the built on wheel arches, the decals, the turbo lettering in mirror writing, which was seen back then as a small provocation - we of course found it to be inspirational. With the BMW 2002 Hommage we wanted to show how we imagine the car of the future to look. If we were to produce the 2002 again, then that is how it would look” WHEN YOU LOOK AT A SINGLE DESIGN ELEMENT SUCH AS THE MERGED DOUBLE GRILL OF THE 2002 HOMMAGE, COULD YOU IMAGINE SOMETHING LIKE THAT FOR SERIES-PRODUCTION VEHICLES? “Yes, we can! of course we examined the BMW 2002 very carefully and this has the double grill which results in a single form, which is embedded in a black graphic at the end of which are situated the two round headlight. This is what we have done with the Hommage car. The graphic here is markedly flatter the grill as well - and so the whole thing possibly works even more dynamic. Additionally, the headlights have been cut-out from above. This results in what we would call a concentrated look. We could imagine using such a front in the future, however this has been created as a study for the Villa d’Este.”
LAST YEAR THE 3.0 CSL HOMMAGE WAS SEEN IN PEBBLE BEACH IN AN ADVANCED PAINTED VERSION. COULD THAT HAPPEN WITH THE 2002 HOMMAGE AS WELL? “ That could happen realistically. Pebble Beach is of course also a very nice event, however, we haven’t taken the final decision on that yet. We want to see what the reaction is to the car here first. It is often so, that you get a telephone call on monday that the car wants to be seen elsewhere. When that happens, it is of course no bad thing …” IN WHICH CAR WOULD YOU PREFER TO DRIVE THROUGH MUNICH, IN THE BMW 2002 “FROM THEN”, OR THE NEW HOMMAGE CAR? “Umm, a difficult question. I like both, however the Hommage car would naturally create more interest than the turbo (laughs). That and it is the latest creation from our design team. If you ask me, which is my favourite of the two cars, that we created as a design team, then I will always say. in any case, either the last one or the next. I have only had a brief go in the BMW 2002 Hommage. So I would like to have a quick drive around Munich in it, because you can test the reaction of the people to it in that way - that would be nice, perhaps we should do that” IN WHICH DIRECTION WILL BMW DESIGN DEVELOP IN THE COMING YEARS? MORE IN THE DIRECTION OF THE PAST, SO THAT ONE CAN PICK UP ELEMENTS AS WITH THE HOMMAGE OR IN A MORE RADICAL DIRECTION, SUCH AS WITH THE BMW I8? “Yes I would say that our designs generally always go more in the direction of the future. We don’t want to build a retro design. We want to build cars in future that have a strong character and are expressive, but we want to do this with fewer lines and less complexities. That of course is not easy, to give a car a strong look but with very few lines. That is what we are working on at the moment and this is what you will see from us in the next couple of years. A car such as the Hommage, whether it is from this year or the last does this as well. A very strong statement, however, realised with relatively few lines. Naturally these vehicles in their overall appearance are possibly a little louder than the production cars. But ok, that’s why they are show cars and that’s why we are at this special event.” WHICH CAR DO YOU DRIVE PRIVATELY AT THE MOMENT? “I currently drive a BMW M2 and I am very happy with it. We regularly have the opportunity to drive test- or pre-production cars, one of which was the BMW i8. Now it is the BMW M2 in our launch colour Long Beach blue. This is also a very nice experience.”

Wer weiche Cashmerestoffe und wohlig warme Fellmaterialien liebt, wird in der neuen Mirabell Plummer Winter-Loden Kollektion geballtes Fashionglück finden. Inspiriert durch das russische Zarenmärchen Ana Karenina, wird die prunkvolle Königsrobe des 19. Jahrhunderts in die Moderne übergeführt. In der Regel arbeitet die Modeschöpferin bei der Entstehung einer neuen Kollektion sehr eng mit ihrem Team zusammen. Die Einzelstücke die so entstehen, ergeben schließlich ein buntes Mode-Kaleidoskop aus den vielfältigsten Geschmäckern. „Die intensive Zusammenarbeit auf der Basis einer freundschaftlichen Beziehung, in der man die gleiche Sprache spricht ist das um und auf in einem funktionierenden Betrieb.“ (Tracy Hauenschild) Mit ein wenig Gespür für den Zahn der Zeit, gelingt es der Jungdesignerin stets die Nase vorn zu haben und die aktuellsten Trends ofenfrisch aus der Nähwerkstatt in die Mirabell Plummer-Shops in Zell am See und Salzburg oder mit der Post direkt zum Kunden zu liefern. Auch wenn Tracy viel Inspiration von Außerhalb in ihre Mode einfließen lässt, die Konzeption der exklusiven neuen Modelinie, liegt schließlich doch in ihrer Hand, und diese ist mehr als tragbar!

The fashion queen from Pinzgau attributes, the consciously extravagant and self-aware fashion statements, to be one of greatest strengths. It is precisely this eye-catching confident style which bestows the “Plummer recognition factor� on her pieces. Up to now the clothing from Mirabell Plummer was characterised by the modern alpine taste in fashion. This will change a little in the future. Without going against the fundamental principles the present lines have been adapted to correspond to the current Zeitgeist. There is broad scope of possibilities for a multitude of interpretations. In future the striking folk costume elements will be replaced with those of futuristic urban ones.

For those who love cashmere and warm fur materials, they will not believe their fashion luck with the new Mirabell Plummer Winter-Loden collection. Inspired by the russian Tsar fable Ana Karenina the ostentatious royal robes of the 19th Century have been overhauled. As a rule the fashion designer works very closely with her team on the creation of a new collection. The unique pieces that ensue are as a result of a colourful kaleidoscope of the various tastes. “It is an intense working together based upon a collegial friendship, which is important in a functioning business.� so Tracy Hauenschild. With a finger on the pulse of time, the young designer has managed to get her nose ahead by creating the latest trends in her own Mirabell Plummer sewing workshops located directly in the shops in Zell am See and Salzburg, or items are sent directly to the customer by post. Even if Tracy takes a lot of inspiration from external sources and lets them flow into her fashion, the conception of new fashion lines, lies in the end in her hands and this is more than manageable.

HIGHLIGHTS 2016 Bei hervorragende Performances, von Headliner Benny Benassi, der unterstützt wurde von Mike Candys ft. Evelyn, vom österreichischen Superstar Rene Rodrigezz, den aufsteigenden Superstars Filous, Ghosts, Metrik, Stanny Abram, The Upbeats sowohl von vielen lokalen und internationalen DJ’s feierte die Partymeute den Start der Wintersaison 2016/2017 in Zell am See-Kaprun. Organisator Matthias Leitner: “Wir als Team sind sehr zufrieden mit dem heurigen Event aber wir möchten gerne noch wachsen, um das bestbesuchteste Winterevent zu werden. Nächstes Jahr melden wir uns definitiv größer zurück, der genaue Termin wird noch bekannt gegeben.”

2 BURG KAPRUN Von der aus dem 12. Jahrhundert stammenden monumentalen Burg Kaprun aus, hat man einen grandiosen Panoramablick über Kaprun, das Tal und die umliegende Bergwelt. Es ist die Mühe mehr als Wert, diesem märchenhaften Ort einen Besuch abzustatten. The 12th century Burg Kaprun offers a great panoramic view over Kaprun, the valley and the surrounding mountains. This fairytale location is very well worth a visit.
3 A TRIP ROUND THE KLAMMSEE Eine Wanderung durch die Sigmund-Thun Klamm führt zu einem idyllischen See: dem Klammsee der Kapruner Ache. Das türkise Wasser leuchtet einem schon von Weitem entgegen. Einmal um den See zu wandern, ist ein echter Geheimtipp. Am See gibt es einen großen Spielplatz, einen Kiosk und reichlich Informationen zur Natur und allem was dort lebt. Genießen Sie auch ein Eis! A walk through the Sigmund-Thun Gorge in Kaprun leads to an idyllic lake: the Klammsee or Kaprun Lake. The turquoise water glimmers at you from a distance. Walking round the lake is highly recommended. There is a playground by the lake and lots of information about its natural surroundings and everything else to be discovered. Don’t forget to have a delicious ice cream, too!
4 SNOWFUN IN KAPRUN Auf dem Kitzsteinhorn kann man beinah ganzjährig Ski fahren, die Wintersaison fängt bereits im Herbst an und endet erst im Frühjahr. Guter Schnee ist hier garantiert! Skifahren und Snowboarden bis in einer Höhe von 3.029 Metern. Das Skigebiet Kaprun bietet 61 Pistenkilometer und ist durch seine hohe Lage schneesicher. Es gibt genau so viele blaue wie rote Pisten, jeder kann sich hier also eine ganze Woche lang vergnügen. Der Skipass Kaprun ist auch für das Skigebiet Zell am See gültig, wo weitere 77 Pistenkilometer warten. On the Kitzsteinhorn you can ski almost all year round and the winter seasons starts in the Autumn and ends in the Spring. Good snow is guaranteed here! There is great skiing and snowboarding up to an altitude of 3,029 meters. The skiing area of Kaprun has a 61 km piste and its location guarantees really great snow. There are an equal number of blue and red pistes which means everyone can spend a whole week here. The Kaprun ski pass is also valid for the Zell am See skiing area where there is also a 77 km piste.

SNOW TO LAKE Im Sommer warten am Kitzsteinhorn insgesamt drei Mountainbike Freeride Trails. Die durchgehende Abfahrt vom Alpincenter ins Ta l beträgt knapp 12km und überwindet 1.500 Höhenmeter. In summer there are three mountainbike freeride trails into the Kitzsteinhorn. The uninterrupted trail from the Alpincenter down in the valley is about 12km in length with a difference of 1500 metres in altitude. 5 SCHMITTENHÖHE Das Skigebiet Schmittenhöhe bietet gut 80 Pistenkilometer mit verschiedenen Schwierigkeitsstufen. Mit der vom Porsche Design-Studio entworfenen hypermodernen Gondel ist schon die Fahrt nach oben ein Fest. Versäumen Sie auf keinen Fall, dem Schmittencafé einen Besuch abzustatten, bevor Sie die Abfahrt antreten. Von der Aussichtsterrasse bietet sich ein überwältigendes Panorama. The Schmittenhöhe skiing area has around 80 km of pistes of different levels of difficulty. With the ultra-modern gondola cable car, designed by Porsche Design Studio, the trip to the top is an experience in itself. Before you ski back down do visit the Schmittencafé where a terrace with an incredible panoramic view awaits.

Wouter Vedder (19 Jahre) und Rox Velms (19 Jahre) beide studieren Tourismus an De Rooi Pannen Akademie in Tilburg, Niederlande. Jedes Jahr absolvieren mehrere Studenten ein Praktikum bei Alpin Rentals. Mittlerweile haben bereits 35 Praktikanten De Rooi Pannen Akademie ihr Praktikum erfolgreich bei Alpin Rentals abgeschlossen.

Each year several students from their school take part in a traineeship by Alpin Rentals, as well did they. In the meantime more than 35 trainees from De Rooi Pannen academy have successfully completed their traineeship by Alpin Rentals.
WOUTER VEDDER WARUM HAST DU DICH FÜR EIN PRAKTIKUM BEI ALPIN RENTALS ENTSCHIEDEN? “Ein Praktikum in Österreich war sehr attraktiv für mich weil Ich ein Praktikum im Sommer in einer Destination absolvieren wollte, die nicht so typisch ist, wie zB. Spanien. Auch ist Alpin Rentals eine relativ junge Firma die in die letzten Jahren sehr gewachsen ist und sich stetig erweitert. WO FAND DEIN PRAKTIKUM STATT UND WAS WAREN DEINE HAUPTAUFGABEN? “Ich war hauptsächlich am Front Office tätig. Zwischendurch war ich auch für das Frühstück verantwortlich. Meine Hauptaufgaben waren CheckIn und CheckOut. Der direkte Kontakt mit den Gästen zB. beim Frühstücksservice hat mir sehr Spaß gemacht.” WAS WAR DEIN GESAMTEINDRUCK DEINES PRAKTIKUMS? “Ich habe sehr viel dazu gelernt während meiner Zeit in Österreich. Meine Deutschkenntnisse haben sich sehr verbessert seit meinem Start bei Alpin Rentals. Darüber hinaus habe ich gelernt, für mich selber zu Sorgen während dieser 5 Monate. Ich habe viele großartige Leute kennengelernt und bin sehr froh, in solcher tollen Firma arbeiten zu dürfen” ROX VLEMS WARUM HAST DU DICH FÜR EIN PRAKTIKUM BEI ALPIN RENTALS ENTSCHIEDEN? Ich sah das Praktikum als einzigartige Chance. Speziell um ins Ausland zu gehen und weil es keine gängige Wahl für ein Sommerpraktikum ist.” WO FAND DEIN PRAKTIKUM STATT UND WAS WAREN DEINE HAUPTAUFGABEN? “Hauptsächlich war ich als Rezeptionistin tätig. Meine Aufgaben waren zB.: CheckIn und CheckOut der Gäste und Vorbereitungen für die Anreise.” WAS WAR DEIN GESAMTEINDRUCK DEINES PRAKTIKUMS? “Ich habe viel während meines Praktikums in Kaprun gelernt. Auch meine Deutschkenntnisse haben sich sehr verbessert im Vergleich zu davor.”
WOUTER VEDDER WHY DID YOU CHOOSE YOUR TRAINEESHIP WITH ALPIN RENTALS? “A traineeship in Austria was very appealing to me, because I wanted to do a traineeship in the summer that wasn’t an obvious choice such as for example a traineeship in Spain. Also Alpin Rentals is a relatively young company, that has grown in recent years and continues to grow.” WHERE DID YOUR TRAINEESHIP TAKE PLACE AND WHAT WERE YOUR MAIN DUTIES? “I was mainly based in front of house. Some days I also was responsible for breakfast. My main duties were handling the check-ins and check-outs. Contact with the guests is something I really enjoyed, whilst working on the breakfasts.” WHAT WAS YOUR OVERALL IMPRESSION OF YOUR TRAINEESHIP? “I’ve learned a lot during my time in Austria. My German has been improved a great deal since I started with Alpin Rentals. On top of that I learned how to manage on my own for five months. I’ve met a great number of people and was very glad to be given the opportunity to work for such a great company.” ROX VLEMS WHY DID YOU CHOOSE YOUR TRAINEESHIP WITH ALPIN RENTALS? “I saw the traineeship at Alpin Rentals as a very unique opportunity. Especially since it was abroad and because it’s not a very obvious choice for an summer traineeship.” WHERE DID YOUR TRAINEESHIP TAKE PLACE AND WHAT WERE YOUR MAIN DUTIES? “I mainly worked as a receptionist. My duties were for example: to arrange the check-in and check-out of the guests and preparing for the arrivals.” WHAT WAS YOUR OVERALL IMPRESSION OF YOUR TRAINEESHIP? “I’ve learned a lot during my traineeship in Kaprun, for example teamwork. My German is also better than it was before.”

Das kam auch dem Käufer und Eigentümer von 3 Einheiten der neuen Avenida Panorama Suites, welche zentral im Winterwonderland Kaprun errichtet worden, Joris Dierick in den Sinn. Kaprun: well known for its endless possibilities to relax and have a good holiday, both in winter and in the summer season. This thought occurred to one of the buyers and owner of 3 units, Joris Dierick, of the newly constructed Avenida Panorama Suites Kaprun which are centrally located in the winter wonderland village.

The dutch based CFO of Microsoft Eastern Europe was looking for new construction site to build apartments in a good location, when they came across the Avenida Panorama Suites Kaprun in a brochure. “I chose Kaprun because it’s a perfect location for rental. First of all: Kaprun is a beautiful village. Secondly there is a big advantage: the glacier, which provides lots of activities all year round.” The Avenida Panorama Suites Kaprun will be finished in December 2016. They’re meant for a group stay of 2-10 people and have all the facilities you need, such as: sauna, a bath on the balcony and a breakfast room. Not to mention the panoramic views. “from the balcony you have the spectacular view of the Kitzsteinhorn. die Projekte involviert. Den Verkauf wollen wir auch so gut wie möglich nicht aus der Hand geben. Wir wollen aber auch nicht zu schnell wachsen weil wir der Überzeugung sind, dass Qualität wichtiger ist als Quantität.”
WIE HABEN SIE MIT AVENIDA VOR FAST 10 JAHREN BEGONNEN? “Das erste Projekt von Avenida, das Ski und Golf Resort Kaprun, entstand als mein Geschäftspartner Truus van Mourik und ich 2006 auf Skiurlaub in Zell am See waren. Wir trafen Erwin Schmidinger von der Raiffeisenbank Kaprun und kauften ein altes Chalet im Zentrum von Kaprun, an dessen Standort ein Hotelneubau geplant war. Leider war das Grundstück für den Bau eines Hotels zu klein. Mein Vorschlag, stattdessen qualitativ hochwertige Appartements zu errichten, überzeugte auch Hr. Schmidinger. Seitdem wurden jedes Jahr neue Appartements an unterschiedlichen Standorten gebaut. Ich bin meinem Geschäftspartner Truus, für die Unterstützung in den letzten 10 Jahren, sehr dankbar.”
WIE VIELE AVENIDA ANLAGEN GIBT ES HEUTE? UND WIE VIELE APPARTMENTS INSGESAMT? “Insgesamt wurden 8 Projekte unter dem Namen Avenida bis heute realisiert, Nummer 9 und 10 sind unterwegs. Insgesamt sind bereits mehr als 160 Appartements und Chalets entstanden und verkauft worden.”
WIE BEGANN DIE ZUSAMMENARBEIT MIT ALPIN RENTALS? “2009 machte mich mein Freund Andre van der Veer, der leider mittlerweile verstorben ist, mit Ralph van Kollenburg bekannt. Er dachte, Ralph und ich würden geschäftlich gut zusammen passen. Ralph hatte gerade einige Appartements in Kaprun gekauft (Kitz Residenz), welche er vermietete, und ich hatte 3 Avenida Projekte mit großem Erfolg realisiert. Die wachsende Anzahl an Appartements erforderte eine professionelle Vermietung. Nun, 10 Jahre später, sind Avenida & Alpin Rentals international bekannt.” WARUM DER NAME AVENIDA? “Avenida ist die spanische Übersetzung von “Straße” und bedeutet breiter Weg. Eine “Straße” startet und endet meistens an einem Platz. Auf einem Platz sind immer Aktivitäten. Menschen sehen, erleben, treffen und freuen sich. Wir entwickeln Projekte für Menschen, die etwas erleben, sich treffen und freuen wollen.” WIE WÜRDEN SIE DEN WACHSTUM WÄHREND DER LETZTEN 10 JAHRE BESCHREIBEN? “Es kommen jedes Jahr ein oder zwei Projekte dazu, welche wir selber planen. Aus diesem Grund sind wir sehr eng in

Aber auch auf eine fantastische Zusammenarbeit mit vielen lokalen Partner, wie zB. dem MAB Team rund um den Architekten Jürgen Blaickner, die Raiffeisenbank Kaprun, die Gemeinde Kaprun, die Bezirkshauptmannschaft Zell am See und vielen weiteren österreichischen Partnern, mit welchen wir eine hervorragende Beziehung aufgebaut haben. Ohne diese tollen Firmen würde es Avenida nicht geben.” WAS BRINGT DIE ZUKUNFT VON AVENIDA? Ich bin Direktor von Kontour Vastgoed B.V. einer Real Estate Company in den Niederlanden. In letzter Zeit konzentriert sich unser Einzugsgebiet hauptsächlich auf die Friesischen Seenplatte und die Friesischen Inseln in den Niederlanden. INTERVIEW WITH DIRECTOR HANS VAN DER MIJL THE DUTCH FOUNDER OF AVENIDA, ABOUT TEN YEARS OF AVENIDA. HOW DID YOU START AVENIDA TEN YEARS AGO? “Avenida’s first project was the Ski und Golf Resort Kaprun, it was formed whilst my partner Truus van Mourik and I were on an ski holiday in Zell Am See in 2006. We met Erwin Schmidinger of the Raiffeisenbank in Kaprun and before we realised it, we bought an old chalet in the centre of Kaprun, a location intended for building a hotel. The location, however, was too small to build a decent hotel. My proposition therefore was to realise highquality apartments, Erwin Schmidinger also liked this Idea. From then on, new apartment hotels were built in different locations each year. I’m very grateful to my partner Truus for his support over the last ten years.” HOW DID THE COOPERATION WITH ALPIN RENTALS START? “In 2009, my friend Andre van der Veer introduced me to Ralph van Kollenburg, Andre has since passed away. He thought Ralph and I could be well matched as business partners. Ralph had just bought several apartments in Kaprun (Kitz Residenz) which he rented out and I had just realized the three first Avenida projects with great success. The amount of the apartments forced us to set up an professional rental and operating company. Now, ten years later, Avenida & Alpin Rentals are widely known.” WHY WAS AVENIDA CHOSEN AS THE NAME? “Avenida is the Spanish translation of avenue which literally means wide way. An A ‘ venida’ normally starts and ends at a square, on a square there are always activities. People see, experience, meet and enjoy themselves. We develop projects for people who want to experience, meet and enjoy them.” HOW WOULD YOU DESCRIBE THE GROWTH OVER THE LAST TEN YEARS? “Each year one or two new projects were added which we developed ourselves. Due to the fact that we are very intimately involved with the projects, we also wanted to keep the sales side as much as possible in our own hands. We don’t want to grow too fast, as we believe quality is way more important than quantity.” HOW MANY AVENIDA PROJECTS ARE THERE TODAY? AND HOW MANY APARTMENTS ARE THERE IN TOTAL? “In total eight projects have been realised up to now under the Avenida label, numbers 9 and 10 are on their way... This means more than 160 apartments and chalets have been sold in total.” IN YOUR OPINION, WHAT IS THE MOST IMPORTANT ROLE OF SALES AND RENTALS? “The most important aspect is the client’s trust. From the first moment they see the project, the buyer should get that ‘Wow feeling’ and be happy. Only when all the Avenida team members become personally involved in the project, will a long lasting relationship ensue.”
HOW PROUD ARE YOU OF AVENIDA’S LAST 10 YEARS IN AUSTRIA? “We are very proud of the fact that Avenida has developed into an exclusive provider of high-end apartments, chalets and resorts. In the last ten years we have learned, in cooperation with Alpin Rentals and Kontour Vastgoed, a lot about our guests and investors and their requirements and wishes for the ideal holidaying residence, this knowledge is priceless.” HOW DO YOU LOOK BACK AT TEN YEARS OF AVENIDA? “I look back at a very intense period, but one with fantastic collaboration from local austrian partners such as , the MAB team of Architects led by Jürgen Blaickner, the Raiffeisenbank, the local authorities such as the Gemeinde Kaprun and the ‘Bezirkshauptmannschaft’ in Zell am See plus many, many other Austrian companies, with whom we have built up a superb relationship. Without these partners there would be no Avenida.’’ WHAT DOES THE FUTURE HOLD FOR AVENIDA? “I hope the future will bring us continued steady growth for the Avenida brand, but only in a way that we can guarantee our service and maintain high quality standards. We place great emphasis on our slogan ‘Luxury Holidays, Quality Investments’, Avenida should continue to be known for its unique luxury holiday accommodations and stable investments with good yields. We will also guarantee this in subsequent locations by ensuring a good team of excellent staff can supply the full, unique, high quality service standards that has made Avenida what it is today.” WHAT DO YOU DO IN DAILY LIFE, BESIDES WORKING FOR AVENIDA? “I am also a director of Kontour Vastgoed B.V., a real estate development company in the Netherlands. Our work has been focused of late on the Friese Meren(NL) and the Waddeneilanden(NL). As result of our attention to detail, the Kontour name is becoming as recognised as that of Avenida in the projects e execute!”

Reinhard hat in seiner bisherigen beruflichen Laufbahn 10 Jahre für den Tourismusverband Bruck an der Glocknerstraße gearbeitet. Anschließend war er als Chefreiseleitung in ganz Europa unterwegs und war zuständig für den Hoteleinkauf sowie das Ausarbeiten von Programmen und der Betreuung von Gruppen. Die letzten fünf Jahre hat das Dreamteam bereits zusammen erfolgreich ein Aparthotel geführt. Angelika kam der Liebe wegen vor 25 Jahren in den schönen Pinzgau und betrieb eine Cafe Pizzeria mit Ihrem Mann in Bruck an der Glocknerstraße. Danach arbeitete sie 6 Jahre für ein deutsches Reiseunternehmen als Reiseleitung im Land Salzburg. Die letzten 9 Jahre leitete sie ein Aparthotel in Kaprun. Beide freuen sich sehr auf Ihre neue Herausforderung und unzählige Gäste in den Avenida Panorama Suites begrüßen zu dürfen!
Reinhard brings with him more than 10 years experience working for the Tourismusverband in Bruck an der Glocknerstraße. Following on from there he was a chief travel guide. He travelled extensively throughout Europe and was responsible for the buy-in of hotel rooms and the production of programmes for groups of guests as well as being responsible for their support. This dream team has run and managed an Aparthotel together for the last five years. Angelika came to Pinzgau 25 years ago out of love, she together with her husband managed a Cafe Pizzeria in Bruck an der Glocknerstraße. After that she worked for six years as a Travel Guide for a german travel company in Land Salzburg. For the last nine years she has managed an Aparthotel in Kaprun. Both of them look forward to this new challenge and to welcoming the countless numbers of guests to the Avenida Panorama Suites!

Dutch artist, Hanneke Toes, has created several paintings for apartments in Kaprun and Saalbach and has been given the commission to create several new ones.

HOW DID YOU MATCH THE PAINTINGS TO THE APARTMENTS? “I found the assignment very enjoyable and inspiring, because of the quantities and the sizes that the paintings had to be. The apartments primarily have brown and grey tones, that is why the cow paintings match perfectly. Also the cow skins are repeated in the interior decor.” WHAT DOES YOUR CURRENT ASSIGNMENT LOOK LIKE? “Ralph Kollenburg came to me once again with an assignment to create several big paintings for him of red and white and black and white paintings of cows.” KÖNNEN SIE SICH ALS KÜNSTLERIN KURZ VORSTELLEN? “Ich habe Garten- und agrarwirtschaftliche Architektur studiert. Neben skizzieren habe ich gelernt ein Auge fürs Detail zu bekommen. Letzterer Aspekt war sehr wichtig für mich als Künstlerin. Als ich Landschaftsmalereien erstellte, war ich sehr von den Kühen darin fasziniert. Dennoch habe ich erst sehr viel später, mein erstes Kuhgemälde erstellt.” WIE HAT ES BEGONNEN? “Eines Tages habe ich meine Kuhbilder in einem Restaurant ausgestellt. Dort verkaufte ich eine rote & weiße Tryptychon Malerei an Dymphie und Kees Krelage. Danach hängten Sie dieses Gemälde in Ihrem Apartment in Saalbach auf. Letztes Jahr trat dann Ralph van Kollenburg an mich heran, ähnliche Bilder für mehrere Apartments und Penthäuser in Kaprun und Saalbach zu malen.” WIE HABEN SIE DIE MALEREIEN PASSEND ZUM APARTMENT GESTALTET? “Ich fand den Auftrag sehr angenehm und inspirierend wegen der Anzahl und der Größe die die Bilder haben sollten. Die Apartments sind vornehmlich mit Braun- und Grautönen ausgestattet, darum passen die Kuhgemälde perfekt dazu. Auch das Rindsleder spiegelt sich im Interieur wieder.” WIE SEHEN IHRE AKTUELLEN PROJEKTE AUS? “Ralph van Kollenburg trat wieder an mich heran mit dem Wunsch, verschiedene große Bilder für ihn mit rot und weißen und schwarz und weißen Farben mit Kühen zu gestalten” WIE MACHEN SIE DIESE BILDER? “Malereien auf diesem Gebiet sind oft ziemlich schwierig, daher mache ich Fotos von den Kühen. Ein Portrait ist nicht nur eine zweidimensionale Figur sondern braucht auch Charakter und Haltung. Genau darum schaue ich mir meine Motive genau an und mache Fotos. Alle Kühe sind unterschiedlich mit ihren eigenen Charakter und Schönheit.”
CAN YOU GIVE A SHORT INTRODUCTION TO YOU AS AN ARTIST? “I’ve studied Garden and Agricultural Architecture. Here, besides sketching, I also learned to look closely. This latter aspect is very important to me as an artist. When I created landscape paintings, I was very intrigued by the cows in it, however it was only much later that I actually started on my first cow paintings.” HOW DID THIS START? “One day I exhibited my cow paintings in a restaurant. Here I sold a red & white triptych painting to Dymphie and Kees Krelage. Later, they hung this painting in their apartment in Kaprun. Last year, Ralph van Kollenburg, approached me and asked me to produce similar paintings for several apartments and penthouses in Kaprun and Saalbach.”
