Mit 100 Prozent Schneesicherheit, vielfältigen Pisten, Funslopes für Groß und Klein sowie faszinierenden Snowparks und Freeride-Routen zählt Zell am See-Kaprun zu den attraktivsten Wintersportregionen Österreichs. Dank des Ticketverbunds Ski ALPIN CARD können Schneebegeisterte insgesamt 408 Pistenkilometer inklusive Gletscher, 121 Anlagen und einem Maximum an Attraktionen mit einem einzigen Skipass erobern – und das bei einer extra langen Saison von Oktober bis Frühsommer. Ende 2019 wurde in Zell am See-Kaprun ein Generationentraum wahr: Die K-ONNECTION, die Verbindung des Ortes Kaprun mit zwei neuen Bahnen über den Maiskogel auf das Kitzsteinhorn und somit direkt auf den Gletscher, ging in Betrieb. Die Fertigstellung des zellamseeXpress schaffte zudem die direkte Verbindung vom Glemmtal ins Panorama- und Familienskigebiet Schmittenhöhe und somit eine einfache Anbindung an den Skicircus Saalbach Hinterglemm Leogang Fieberbrunn.

Im Sommer fasziniert Zell am See-Kaprun Outdoor-Fans, die die Natur am liebsten zu Fuß oder auf dem Rad erobern. Insgesamt führen rund 400 Kilometer bestens beschilderte Wanderwege zwischen Gletscher Kitzsteinhorn, der Schmittenhöhe und dem glasklaren Zeller See durch die Bergwelt am Rande des Nationalparks Hohe Tauern – vom Seerundgang bis zum Dreitausender. Für Genussradler, Rennradfans, sportliche Mountainbiker und DownhillFahrer bietet die Region traumhafte Routen und Singletrails. With 100 percent snow-reliability, various pistes, fun slopes for every age as well as fascinating snow parks and freeride routes, Zell am SeeKaprun is one of the most attractive winter sports regions in Austria. Thanks to the Ski ALPIN CARD ticket network, snow enthusiasts can enjoy a total of 408 kilometres of pistes including glacier, 121 lifts and a maximum of attractions with just one ski pass - and all this with an extra-long season from October to early summer. A dream of generations came true in Zell am See-Kaprun at the end of 2019, when the K-ONNECTION, which links the village of Kaprun with two new lifts via the Maiskogel to the Kitzsteinhorn and thus directly onto the glacier, went into operation. The completion of the zellamseeXpress also created a direct connection from the Glemmtal Valley to the Schmittenhöhe panorama and family ski resort, thus providing an easy connection to the Skicircus Saalbach Hinterglemm Leogang Fieberbrunn.

In summer, Zell am See-Kaprun fascinates outdoor fans who prefer to conquer nature on foot or by bike. A total of around 400 kilometres of well-signposted hiking trails between the Kitzsteinhorn glacier, the Schmittenhöhe and the crystal-clear Lake Zell - from the lakeside tour to the three-thousand-metre-high mountain - lead through the mountain world on the edge of the Hohe Tauern National Park. The region offers fantastic routes and single trails for leisure cyclists, road bike fans, sporty mountain bikers and downhill riders. Zell am See-Kaprun also convinces with numerous excursion destinations and sights, such as TOP OF SALZBURG with the Gipfelwelt 3000 on the Kitzsteinhorn, the Sigmund Thun Gorge or the Kaprun High Mountain Reservoirs.
