DIE SCHMITTENHÖHE – DAS PANORAMASKIGEBIET FÜR DIE GANZE FAMILIE Die Schmittenhöhe – das Panoramaskigebiet für die ganze Familie Umrahmt von grandiosem Panorama auf 2.000m und jeder Menge Platz auf weitläufigen Pisten – das ist der Winter auf der Schmittenhöhe. Erreichbar über 28 Seilbahnen in Zell am See und in Viehhofen im Glemmtal, ist der Einstieg ins Skigebiet bestens erschlossen. In nur sieben Minuten können die Wintersportler somit perfekt präparierte und abwechslungsreiche Pisten. Für perfektes Ski in-Ski out sorgen die fünf Talabfahrten, darunter auch die herausfordernde Trass Abfahrt mit 70% Gefälle, welche mit extralangem Skigenuss bis ins Tal nach Zell am See locken. Daneben gibt es noch zahlreiche Attraktionen, denn Kidsslope, Funslope oder der Audi Ski Run versprechen Spaß für die ganze Familie. Für kulinarische Köstlichkeiten zum Einkehrschwung laden urige Hütten und Restaurants zum Genießen und Verweilen auf einer der Sonnenterassen. Ein Highlight ist neue Panorama-Restaurant, welches ab Dezember in neuem Glanz erstrahlt.

SKI’N’BRUNCH UND NIGHTSLOPE – DAS PERFEKTE ANGEBOT FÜR FRÜHAUFSTEHER UND NACHTSCHWÄRMER In den Genuss von frisch präparierten Pisten können Frühaufsteher im Winter 2021/22 jeden Donnerstag im Januar und Februar kommen. In kleinen, exklusiven Gruppen erwartet die Teilnehmer des Ski´n´Brunch Pistenspaß auf leeren Traumpisten bei klarer frischer Morgenluft, inklusive Sonnenaufgang auf 2.000 m. Beim anschließenden Brunch können sich die Teilnehmer kulinarisch verwöhnen lassen, sich mit anderen Skibegeisterten austauschen oder mit jemandem aus dem Schmitten-Team ins Gespräch kommen und Hintergrundinformationen über Seilbahn und Skigebiet aus erster Hand erfahren. Die perfekte Alternative für Nachtschwärmer oder alle, die einfach nicht genug vom Skifahren bekommen, bietet die Nightslope abendlichen Skigenuss. Vom 26. Dezember 2021 bis zum 04. März 2022 sind die Drehkreuze bei der Ebenbergbahn bis 21:00 Uhr geöffnet. Im Dunkel der Nacht, auf der mit Flutlicht ausgeleuchteten Piste und den Lichtern der Stadt vor Augen, bietet die Nachtpiste ein ganz besonderes Skierlebnis.

Schmitten-Tipp: das Skiticket ist jeweils schon am Vortag ab 15 Uhr gültig und ermöglicht somit das Nachskifahren am Vorabend!

AUF- UND ABSEITS DER PISTE - FÜR JEDEN ETWAS DABEI Die Schmitten ist auch für all jene, die nicht so gerne auf der Piste unterwegs sind, der perfekte Ort für ein sportliches Wintererlebnis. Zwischen dem 13. Dezember 2021 und dem 25. März 2022 bietet das Winter-Aktivprogramm jede Menge Spaß in der Natur. Immer montags sorgt die „Schneeschuhwanderung 360° Rundumblick“ für einen guten Start in die Woche. Mittwochs kann man sich der Schneeschuhwanderung zum Speicherteich Plettsaukopf anschließen und jeden Freitag gibt es eine Winterwandung entlang der Höhenpromenade. Mit diesem abwechslungsreichen Angebot kommt garantiert niemand in der Familie zu kurz.

THE SCHMITTENHÖHE – THE PANORAMIC SKI AREA FOR ALL THE FAMILY Winter on the Schmittenhöhe is about being surrounded by a fantastic panorama at 2000 m above sea level and having plenty of space on wide open slopes. Access to the ski area is very convenient, with 28 lifts in in Zell am See and in Viehhofen in the Glemmtal. Winter sports people can get to perfectly prepared, varied slopes in just 7 minutes. The 5 runs into the valley provide a perfect ski-in, ski-out experience, enticing visitors down into Zell am See with extra-long skiing fun, including the challenging Trass, with its gradient of up to 70%. There are a host of other attractions too, such as the Kidsslope, Funslope, and Audi Ski Run offering fun for all the family. There are rustic mountain huts and restaurants in which to take a break and relax on a sun terrace whilst enjoying tasty culinary delights. One highlight is the new Panorama-Restaurant, shining in full glory from December.

SKI’N’BRUNCH AND NIGHTSLOPE – PERFECT FOR EARLY RISERS AND NIGHT OWLS Every Thursday in January and February during winter 2021/22, early risers can revel in the pleasure of freshly prepared slopes. In small, exclusive groups, those taking part in “Ski´n´Brunch” can enjoy the beauty of fabulous empty slopes, breathe clean, fresh, morning mountain air, and see the sunrise at 2000 m. This is followed by culinary treats in the brunch that follows, with the chance to share stories with other keen skiers, or chat with one of the Schmitten team and find out background information about the lifts and ski area at first hand. The perfect alternative for night owls, or those who simply can’t get enough of skiing, is the Nightslope, offering evening skiing pleasure. From the 26 December 2021 through to the 4 March 2022, the Ebenbergbahn lift will be open until 21:00. In the darkness of night, the Nightslope offers a really special skiing experience, by the light of the floodlights and the lights of the town.

Schmitten-Tip: Your ski pass is valid from 15:00 on the preceding day, so you can enjoy night skiing on the evening before your first day on the slopes. Current information and operating hours at www.schmitten.at

SOMETHING FOR EVERYONE, BOTH ON AND OFF THE SLOPE! The Schmitten is also the perfect place for an energy-full winter experience for those who aren’t so keen on being on the slope. Our Winter Active Programme runs from the 13 December 2021 to the 25 March 2022 offering all sorts of fun activities in the outdoors. Every Monday our 360° Panoramic Snowshoe Walk makes a great start to the week. On Wednesdays, how about joining the group snowshoeing up to the Plettsaukopf reservoir? And on Fridays there’s the winter walk along the “Höhenpromenade”. With things like this on offer, there’s really something for everyone in the family.
