RRI Hotend Assembly Instruction

Step 1: The dark brown (bigger part) is PEEK isolator and white colour (smaller part) is PTFE socket.

Insert the PTFE socket into PEEK isolator as show in the picture and tighten it using the grub screws.

Step 2: Use PTFE thread seal tape (not in kit) and apply few turns then, screw the nozzle on the heat barrel as show in picture Warning: Don't hold the barrel on thread, since it will damage the threads. Note: PTFE thread seal is very important, else the molten filament start leaking via smalls gaps

Step 3: Now screw the heater block


Step 4: Use PTFE thread seal tape (not in kit) and apply few turns as show in picture Note: PTFE thread seal is very important, else the molten filament start leaking via smalls gaps

Step 5: Now complete the hotend assembly by screwing in the PEEK.

Step 6: Solder the thermistor and 2 pin flat wire connector. Use the heat shrink and PTFE tube for insulation as shown in picture

Step 7: Insert the heating cartridge into heater block and use the grub screw to hold it in place.


Step 8: Insert the thermistor in small hole and use the grub screw and tight gently Warning: Over tightening may damage the thermistor.

Finally assembled hotend should look like this.
