I N F O R M A T I O N After the success of the last three workshops in Senegal, the ASF team is looking forward to repeat this experience, announcing the fourth edition of the ENTRETIERRAS workshop next summer. This is a great chance to share our experience in the cooperation projects that we’ve been developing during the last 15 years in Senegal. And this is also your chance to take part if you’re interested in this field, through a workshop experience in the ground. OBJECTIVES OF THE WORKSHOP -‐ Improving the implementation of cooperation projects as a development tool. -‐ Learning about some of the key stages of a cooperation project; local and sustainable construction techniques and additional environmental and low-‐cost alternatives that can be easily replicated both in Joal-‐Fadiouth and other locations. -‐ Training of local human resources interested in knowing more about cooperation projects and its stages, learning about compressed earth block techniques (CEB) and other local construction techniques. WHO CAN PARTICIPATE IN THE WORKSHOP? The workshop is open to people of legal age, independent of their background, education, experience or professional profile. There are no language requirements, although it’s important to know that the local languages are Wolof and French. We’re interested in inviting people that show initiative and interest in cooperation in developing countries, even if it’s not specifically related to architecture.
