ANDY GRAY FIRST TEAM UPDATE

Hello all.

Welcome again to the NFU.

Our last two games have been away from home.

An excellent 1-7 win at Coventry Copsewood. The level of intensity from all of the players was fantastic and we put in an excellent display all round.

Our pressing was as good as I’ve seen since being at the club and we simply beat our opponents into submission.

The opposite was the case on Tuesday in our visit to OJM Black Country.

As we expect from teams from that area they completely harassed us from the first whistle. The officials were unfortunately very lenient and a lot of bad tackles went unpunished.

This enabled our opponents to get away with a lot but in the end the game was lost against a team who worked harder than us. That isn't acceptable and changes have been made to today's team. We are conceeding far too many goals and that needs to stop.

Our strikers are the two top scorers in the league so the rest of us need to do our jobs and I’m sure we'll improve our results moving forward.
