Kombi Gun The new Kombi Gun is compatible with both the Kombi Klip Short and Kombi Klip Long pipe staples allowing one tool to be used to install all Uponor underfloor heating pipe to various types of insulation. These guns are recommend for regular underfloor heating installers and can dramatically reduce installation time.

Polythene Envelope Edge Insulation 10mm Edge Insulation with self adhesive backing must be positioned around all wall edges to reduce heat loss and take up screed expansion.

Kombi Klip Short

The Kombi Klip Short are used for fixing pipework to EPS insulation (expanded polystrene) with laminated covering (e.g. Rolltec). The barbs length is 22mm and the clips require a minimum of 25mm insulation depth.

Kombi Klip Long

The Kombi Klip Long are used for fixing pipework to most types of insulation including plain EPS and foil faced PUR (polyurethane) such as Kingspan or Celotex. The barbs length is 33mm and the clips require a minimum of 35mm insulation depth.

Heating Pipework laid at 200mm centres unless specified in quotation and laid approximatly 100mm away from walls.

Kombi Klip for Heating Pipe. Clips should be spaced approximately 500mm apart when using 16mm Unipipe MLC and approximatley 300mm apart when using 15mm Wirsbo PEX. Additional clips maybe required on bends.

Floor Make-up 65-75mm 4:1 Sand/Cement Screed. Additives are not required although if used should not be deterimental to the pipe. Protective Layer. It is essential to prevent screed from slipping between the insulation board joints. This can be achieved by taping the joints of Uponor insulation or alternatively by using foil or polythene film. Insulation to comply with Part L of the Building Regulations. If insulation is already fitted below the concrete slab a recommended minimum should additionally be installed above the slab, equivalent to our 50mm Rolltec insulation. On intermediate floors with heated rooms below an to comply with BS EN 1264, equivalent to our 30mm Rolltec insulation.
