From the District Board Meetings, I have firsthand witnessed what it takes to train the District Board. From the District Board functions I have attended, I have learned what the District needs to improve and how the District Board functions. What was the most meaningful experience of service that you have experienced in Key Club? What made it so?
Awards & Honors: As I walked side by side with my Key Club buddies, I 2006, 2007, 2008 SYMF Piano (placed 1st-4th) could hear the countless socializing conversations, the 2009-10 Student of the Quarter in the Foreign undying cheers of Key Club spirit, and the distinct sound Language Department of rubber sneakers selflessly pacing step after step. Why are you running for this particular office and how can you strengthen and influence the CNH District? I am running for District Governor because I would love to raise the California-Nevada-Hawaii Key Club District to greater heights; even with such a great state it already is in. With all that I learned from Key Club about myself, service, and leadership; with all the new people and bonds I have created; with all the love I. have for Key Club; and with all that Key Club has done for me, I would view my election as a mandate of responsibility to give back to an organization that has giving me so much, if given this great privilege. To accomplish the goals I have set, I believe I can use all that I have learned as a District Board member during the 2009-2010 Key Club year as the District Member Relations Committee Chair. From this invaluable year of experience, I have learned about leadership as I led 13 Lieutenant Governors into accomplishing goals and tasks.
was October 18, 2009 at the 10 kilometer AIDS Walk in Los Angeles and it was here in which my most meaningful experience of service took place. Though I have attended several other Key Club service functions and enjoyed them just as well, AIDS Walk really taught me a lot about myself for two reasons. First, it struck me as a Key Club event that showed me why exactly I loved Key Club so much simply because it had all of the great aspects of Key Club. It had the great socializing with people from places I had only heard or read of. It had the Key Club spirit that a Key Club event just can’t function without. And last but not least, it provided me a valuable lesson of character building through service. Second, this was the first physical test of service that I had received. There were plenty of times in which my buddies and I could have decided to sit down and give up, but we kept each other going and finish the job. This got me thinking about how people all around the world are tested physically everyday, such as in third world countries in which some children are compelled to walk miles for water that isn’t even clean enough to drink. It made me realize how blessed I was and inspired me to keep my complaining to a minimum and promise to make acting to change the world into a better place a maximum priority. As District Governor, I would do my absolute best to follow up on this promise.
