MAGIC of Key Club……2 As a new school year approaches, a new Key Club year also approaches. The fall months are usually the busiest of all school year, because of standardized tests, homework and for seniors…college applications! Like school, the autumn months of Key Club are also incredibly busy. There are several divisional, regional and District activities we have you attend. Please keep your schedules open and flexible! -Alan Prieto

Division 47 “FIERCE” Tigers

Information every

TIGER should know in order for

DIVISION 47 to be FIERCE

I am proud to present to you this year’s Regional Training Conference theme: The MAGIC of Key Club. Feel free to dress up in anything Harry Potter or magic, you know I will! What is Regional Training Conference? Well, RTC is a Training Conference any member can attend, rather than strictly the club officers. RTC will be October 17th, 2009 in UC Riverside. Registration will begin at 10:00 A.M., please be prompt! On the previous Newsletter, I mentioned that RTC was going to [originally] be on October 10th. However, due to an SAT test scheduled on the same day, the Region 4 Lieutenant Governors had to reschedule. Our District Treasurer Jeremy Truong will share this magical day with us!

Hooray, a date for the Division’s first PTP Service Project has been selected! Our Division’s first fundraiser will be a car wash on September 26th, 2009. We will be washing cars in exchange of funds to donate to Pediatric Trauma Program: our Governor Jesse’s focus. Remember that it was discussed on August 8th DCM that the goal was to have $100 per club for Fall Rally. This means that you need to have at least $100 for Fall Rally in order to receive full participation (in Fall Rally and the carwash) credit. However, during the year we will continue on having other fundraisers to hopefully reach our goal of $500 per club. Also, here is a little advice: INVOLVE YOUR SPONSORING KIWANIS IN THIS! Please ask for their support! Don’t be shy in approaching them for they do not bite! Please check your emails for I will be sending a planning guide. Good luck and sell those tickets!

It is that time of the year again. No, not Thanksgiving, not Christmas…but time to get those dues in! Remember that Key Club International has to have your club dues in their hands by November 1st, 2009! Send dues to KEY CLUB INTERNATIONAL 3636 WOODVIEW TRACE, INDIANAPOLIS, IN 462683196. Don’t be suspended or left out—have those dues turned in order to participate in Fall Rally, Conclave and most importantly, DCON!

Fall Rally South is back! The second most important pinnacle of Key Club spirit (other than DCON of course) will take place on November 14th, 2009 at Six Flags, Magic Mountain! At Fall Rally South, you get to of course, ride all the extreme Six Flags rides, but you also meet people from the south division of CNH and most importantly, you get to participate in the infamous Lieutenant Governor auction! All money received on this auction will go directly to PTP. Basically, the auction consists of selling the Lieutenant Governors to the CNH south members (divisions). Of course, your goal is to make sure you guys buy ME and don’t let another division do that. When a Lieutenant Governor is bought, they will spend the day with the division that bought them. So, when you guys buy me, I get to spend the whole day with you! I would like to make sure I meet almost everyone in your club, because our one-on-one time is very limited, so please buy me! Or I will be very unhappy, and you don’t want an unhappy Lieutenant Governor… So make sure you fill out the registration forms and send those (along with the registration fee) in before October 24, 2009!
