HEY REGION SEVEN! (: How do you guys feel? This past month, we had our FIRST District board meeting. We sat through hours of workshops and learned how to better serve our region and divisions.I hope that we can all get together to have an interactive fundraiser in which we can earn money to donate towards Pediatrict Trauma prevention! We also were assigned committes, which is really exciting! I know that all of the divisions in our region are working hard towards success at PTP, and of course Fall Rally. I wish the best to all of us, and I can't wait to meet every single one of you guys at the Regional Training conference!

MAY BOARD! leadership So have you ever wondered how your awesome LTGs manage to do their jobs so well? I mean, managing one club is hard enough, but an entire division?!?
Board Meeting, all of the LTGs and the District Executives voted on many of the underlying parts of Key Club, such as our budget. Although that might not interest you, it may interest you to know that DCON ’10 has been decided! DCON ’10 will be in Sacramento again, and the theme will bee….
SERVICE Truth is, we get a lot of help. From District Administrators to District Governors, there are a lot of people that we honestly couldn’t do our jobs without.
One of the major times that they help us out is at May Board, a combination of LTG training and a District Board meeting. To start off, the training. Being an LTG is a lot of work, from filling out paperwork to planning events and fundraisers on a divisional scale. At May Board, each of the District Executives (Governor, Secretary, Treasurer, and Tech Editor) went through multiple workshops, from time management to fundraising ideas. Personally, I learned a lot. For example, I never knew that clubs were required to have a Board of Directors (PS. If you don’t know what I’m talking about, ask your LTG immediately) or that thundersticks came in sword shape! Now, aside from the trainings, we also had the Board Meeting. At the May

LEADERSHIP
Service: Above and BEEyond (getting tired of these “bee” puns yet?) If you haven’t been to DCON before, seriously consider it! Guaranteed to be the BEST Key Club weekend you will ever have! And if you have been to DCON before, I know you’ll be coming back for more next year! Now of course, being an LTG doesn’t mean all work. We had plenty of free time at May Board, and we did random things, from playing Ninja to eating ramen in the hallway at 6AM because we forgot our room keys. We also had a chance to meet our KIWINS counterparts! For those that don’t know, KIWINS was the female version of Key Club way back when Key Club was all-male. Both organizations are now co-ed, but both still exist for the sake of serving our community. So that’s May Board in a nutshell. Training, meeting, fun!
