How to bake cinnamon Amaretti shortbread?



• People usually think that shortbread is hard to make, but on the contrary, it’s quite easy. There’s no mystery about it. It sure is very delicious, and the taste will leave you licking your fingers. So why not combine three mysteries together and make something extravagant to taste? Don’t worry about Amaretti, you can always order cookies online . So lets head on to the ingredients used to prepare this recipe.


Ingredients • 50g of Amaretti biscuits (you can easily buy Amaretti online) • 55g of caster sugar • 110g of plain flour • 55g corn flour • 110g of butter • 2 teaspoon of cinnamon • A pinch of salt


Method • First, put a baking paper on the baking tray of 20cm in a square shape. Take a bowl and add the butter and sugar and mix it well with a whisk (beat it well) until the mixture is smooth. Then add a pinch of salt, cinnamon, and flour in the mix. Use your hand to mix everything together until it becomes a crumb-like mixture. Crush the Amaretti using your hands and scatter it in the bowl over the mixture. Now knead dough out of it using your hands until it forms a ball (you can use a drop of water or milk if it gets too loose).


• Lay it in the baking tray and dust castor sugar (quantity is up to your preference) over the top and let it chill in the fridge for approximately 30 minutes. Bake in the 150 degrees C preheated oven for about 40 minutes. In 20 minutes bring the tray out of the oven and cut loosely 16 shapes out of it and let it bake again. After it’s thoroughly cooked, let the tray cool for 20 minutes and cut fully to serve.
