1 tablespoon of ground ginger 1 teaspoon salt 2 teaspoon cinnamon 1 teaspoon baking powder half teaspoon baking soda 15g of brown sugar 170g of unsalted butter 255g of molasses 418g of all-purpose flour 1 large egg

Method • Take a saucepan and melt the butter in it.Then add brown sugar, molasses, salt, and spices and stir well on low heat. Transfer everything in a mediumsized bowl and let it cool. After it's cooled down, beat the egg in it and keep aside. • Mix together the baking powder and soda into the flour then add them in the mixture and stir well. You can also whisk everything together for better results. Make a dough and divide it into half.

• Wrap and refrigerate for an hour or so. Don’t forget to preheat your oven to 350F. Make sure the dough is thoroughly chilled before continuing. Now take the dough out after it’s cooled and roll it to 1/8 thickness; the thinner it is, the crispier. Make sure the dough doesn't stick; add flour if necessary. Cut out shapes of your choice with a cookie cutter. Now transfer the shapes onto the cookie sheets and bake the cookies until they are slightly brown for 8 or 12 minutes.

• Let them cool after taking out and decorate with your favorite royal icing. • It takes about an hour to prepare this recipe, but it’s worth the efforts. The cookies taste so much better when they are made at home. You can always buy ginger biscuits or buy ginger cookies from online as they give a taste of home as well.
