This impression was yet another effort in exploring the selection made with the earlier lgoo.

To start innovating the product, we started off doing a bit of research on existing products, the brands, their significance, history and what the brand enthusiasts have to say about them. We assimiliated these ideas , put upon a list what we must take in account and what to completely reject in the process of design exploration. Those products, we were truly inspired, have been listed in the following pages.

product, the first stage was about bringing a few ideas which were inline with other products in the market. Although, a substantial thought was applied to integrate the ‘ONE BLADE’ idea with the existing line is some form or the other. It was indifferent to the base concept, but we were trying to catch affirmative base on exactly what we are doing. And ,studying existing designs and innovating & improvising over it seemed perfect. Around 7 designs were the outcome of this stage. Those designs are discussed in the next few pages..

DESIGN EXPLORATION

The word was tall architectural inspiration and the design poised over its symmetrical shape. The base has a bulge for palm rest and as it ascends, it gains an architectural form of revealing atop to the other. This inturn creates a four level grip points. The overall design justify itselfs in a order of symmetryand is meant to accomplish the task with pride for which it is designed in the first place.

innovate further. On stage two, we were thinking to get narrow and continue its adaptibility over currently existing products. All the designs of this stage was akin to each other, exploring on minimalism , firm grip and representing a fine piece of innovation. Around 7 ideas were worked for stage 2. Those are detailed in the following pages.

DESIGN 08 This design was a total assimilation of various idea sought in the stage one . The underlying idea was to make it sleek and lighter . The levelled grip pattern was one good thing came from previous designs. The same was tried for this form.

grip

The levelled grip allows the thumb to change its position while shaving. It is also a resting point for the four fingers whilst the thumb holds the grip from the back. An utmost tool to played by the entire hand.

ideation

DESIGN 09 Riding on the previous design, this very idea was to get minimal. Hollow grips were pointed to a smooth tapered and bended profile. A core grip was designed atop for closer shaving positions. The hollow grip allow fingers and thumb to fix positions during shave.

DESIGN 10

Imrovising over further designs, this design was built for a statement of luxury and endurance.

ideating

The design is a typical cylinder with natural style grip pads (metal), bulging and forwarding at the base. This forwarding will grip against the pull of the razor during shave. The top design has a mechanical confrontation to the handle. The arrangment seemed very inspiring.

metal grip details

DESIGN 11

Improvising further over the previous design, This form has a more curvature following. The grip metallic padding style applied to gront and back will allow the fingers and palm to fix their positions during shave.

holding pattern

DESIGN 12

This stage is exploited with improvisations over the other.. Capturing the curving form with the wholegrip body, this idea was fully an inspiring object the finger will love to hold. The bottom section is like a ribbed jacked aded to the mainframe.

DESIGN 13

Design Exploration

To attain the state of equilibrium, this was to sum up all the efforts of this stage and to present a better design completing this stage work.

DESIGN 14

ideation An extra effort was put to gain the same design aspect being continued in this very stage to attain a remarkable piece of machinery . The idea ws to to go a bit mechanical and explore its pattern.

STAG

advancing forward The time was to get out of the box and explore be-

yond the common types. In this stage, we just thought to explore some nongeneric forms and go vivid in our approaches. We were trying various patterns.. those are detailed in the following pages.

DESIGN 17

ideation

strong base

A solid traditional form, Not very unique though, but we still tried to experiment with the classics. This was inspired from by the Egyptian columns. Those heavy types seemed to have a strong foundation.. The capital was cultured drastically to attain the rectangular shape.

DESIGN 18

Bringing the post war design culture back , this form was ideated. The form has a simpler organic flow crafted in symmetry tor bring something exiquisite for the hands.

ideation

gripping zone

DESIGN 19

ideation

The severeness of post war design is simply adorable. We tried to mix different forms like wood texture with simple plastic and metal to see how it grows. The impression was a piece of craft and something the user will like to have for his collection.

DESIGN 20

A simple geometrical form was explored as organic was exploited much. This design had a very simpler flow with strong curvature for attaining the hand posture. Two gripping cuts guides the hand while shaving.

ideation

DESIGN 21

ideation

Experiment over a complex geometrical form set for a pleasant aesthetics. Nevertheless , its resemblance is more towards a packaging design, our exploration was to elaborate various patterns

DESIGN 22

ideation

We realised something figurative was missing from the design and this version was looking towards it.

something unique and altogether different from existing products. We also tried to forget this being a razor at all and truly get indepths to build a masterpiece. Something fascinating, adorable, and a true innovation. Fascinately, with a few strokes, we got a direction to work ahead. The two designs from this stage are displayed in the following pages.

Inspired by turtle but innovated with concentric natural form. This was the first step to build something very unique. We had to improvise over this but, the effort was fruitful and we set a tone to build more into this.

Gripping lines

Grip zone

DESIGN 16

Ideation

This design set the foundation to begin exploration ahead in same lines. It was unique , innovative and a strong contender to be just the one. We thought , cant the grip points being just resting points for the tip of finger be something that the finger can play around. Making a unit rather a play of index finger and thumb, why not all fingers can contribute to your shave.

DESIGN 25

The design advocates for a remarkable piece of weapon. Smooth, elegant and performer are a few principles, in which this design was generated. The tailing hand is unique and this area brilliantly rest the finger, the palm and allow easy pull function for the razor. The thumb and the index finger can attain two positions at the top seciton to guide the blade for a fine work with the shave.

Finer shave grip area

Resting and pulling function on the stretched base

ideation

DESIGN 26

functional grip point

Yes, the task was, HOW SIMPLER YOU CAN GO.. The evolution was nothing, but a capsule with a single functional grip point. The design is a true minimalistic impression of anything such available in the present market. The little finger totally guides the movement from the smooth round base while the other fingers with the thumb rely over the grip point in their contribution for a perfect shaving experience.

DESIGN 27

inspired by Hilt (sword)

Wish for an exorbitant performance.. The two way worker gets the task done for you smoothly. Similar to a hilt of a sword, the design allows finger (s) to grip the razor firmly and play it fine for the job.

DESIGN 28

The slanting shape itself forms the grip High in Aesthetics, the design exhibits a exiquisite sense of luxury and perfection. The mettalic band is the forefront runner in its display. The slanting shap naturally allows the grip to be made and locks it in hand while dragging at the time of shave.

DESIGN 29

An extravaganza display of art.

Design Exploration

Withstanding to the orthodox forms of razor, this one is an unusual pattern. The Symmetrical form makes it more elegant and exclusive. The shape of the design with its form, naturally, creates pulling and holding grip points.

Fingers and palm working for various holding patterns

DESIGN 30

inspiring from the hilt

Re-establishing a hilt ( of a sword).

a holding pattern

The hilt is a true inspiration of the story of man holding their blades in battles. We ideated to re-establish it with the one blade concept. The outcome was an inspiring statement of delicacy. These forms have vivid holding patterns, unlike the usual razors which is only played majorly by the thumb and the index finger.

DESIGN 31

Fuelling the inspirations further, this design was yet another proclomation to go way beyond the usual. We were just innovating on various forms but with core idea of holding patterns the hand will follow in its motion while making shave. This comprehensive exploration was producing some remarkable shapes and forms, which will be base for further enhancements.

the palm rests over here and provides grip for eaasy movement and tilting

DESIGN 32

core grip

Design Exploration The idea of hilt is irresistable. We continued improvising over that and shapes were evolving . This design was another continued idea. The form is flexible which will allow the fingers hold it well while shaving.

DESIGN 33

Seemed like the freeform was the say of the time and we totally annihilated the moment to go a bit farther and completely forgetting it being a razor handle.

Ideation

DESIGN 34

Ideation

Experimentation continued with freeform design exploration. Exposure over inspirational characterstics of everday and beautiful objects brought some exclusive details. This design too, is a simpler attached of two different forms working as a single unit. The handle is an elongated bulged capsule with gripped ribs casted over a very simple wing type object. Cutleries inspired to innovate.

grip handle detail

DESIGN 35

We were on a tour to get insipiration from everyday seen objects and innovating them for a razor handle. We were not a bit repulsive to characterize any simpler object not being a razor. It was a positive approach and it was working at the moment. Table top speakers were the underlying inspirational objects for this design.

ideation

DESIGN 36

ideation

Time to go further crazier . How to fold a metal sheet to become a handle. The newspaper fold was the inspiring character here. The outcome was this design

DESIGN 37

ideation

A shape evolving from another. The inspiration was a table photoframe. We just brought it more organic and defined it for a holding pattern.

DESIGN 38

Inspired by packaging designs of bottles, we translated it to be a razor. We were gaining momentum this time on conceiving almost everything in mind and transforming it to the product were designing.

ideation

DESIGN 39

ideation

holding pattern

Furniture, Chairs were the inspirational elements while creating this set. We improvised over it and defined holding patterns to gain the importance of being a razor.

DESIGN 40

ideation

A trophy for every shave.. The inspiring object was a trophy which was well cultivated to bring a form the hand would ove to hold.

DESIGN 41

ideation

Inspired by the Animal Kingdom, specifically tfrom a fish and a mouse. The idea is a simplepattern with a grip at the centre. The sides which are organic forms of fins are designed in such a way that the fingers can adjust on it for various holding patterns.

STAG

summing up The previous stages were seen to explore all sorts

of design, shapes and forms. The time was to reinvent all sought ideas and pack those multitude ideas into a real character. We had all our understanding straight and the moment was to gain opulence over design. This series was to create something compact with the signature style to be followed for the brand. The following pages display this stage’s work.

DESIGN 44

ideation

A spatial inspirational design. Something very much pertaining to futuristic design. The idea was to create a compact form of a roazor. The back has a ring pattern which settles easily on the palm and guides movement while shaving

DESIGN 45

Another curving compact tool meant to fit on your palm easily . This was yet another spatial design .

ideation

DESIGN 46

ideation

The compact series was continuing along with the infustion of fine machinery resemblance to each design. This design was yet another addition with a well defined ribbed shape for finger placement. The two beveled grip points receives the attention of the fingers and palm and guides easy movement of the razor.

The flying wing pattern adaptation. An impeccable demonstration of a true artifact.. The design is minimal and simple and totally flourised by the centrepiece depicting a stretched wing.

DESIGN 48

To Fortify the simplistic form with hints of glamour, this design took place. A simple tapering cylinder to the bottom with golden metallic bands itself is serene. With a bottom flip style extension is provide to lock the palm and allowing easy movement.

DESIGN 49

ideation Continuing development towards a compact structure, this was had a true innovation towards the neck section. The design resembles strong pair of callipers holding a sleek plate.. The callipers are structure for ideal hold of the palm.

High on design and projecting an ultra luxury piece. A fine cut revealing a hollow shape welcomes the thumb to sit on it for a firm grip.

Another lead to a compact design pattern. A simpler design with stretched neck attached to the blade at two points. The v shape base edge will act as a gripping point.

Addition to the compact mode regime. This was a inspiration from previous set of works.. Tapered, curved profile with a block at the back for easy pull.

DESIGN 54

A morphing ideology applied to this product design.. The solid curved profile is morphed to a bevelled curving plate at the base.
