Current happenings Chocolate winners!

Thanks to the Moral Chorale for the fun Chocolate Calorie Challenge! Congratulations to Mrs. Garza, Mrs. Hernandez and Mr. Bagford on their closest guesses to 28,470 calories!


Showcase classroom

After using the computer to design their dragsters, students in Mr. Q’s GTT class use the drill press and scroll saw to make their designs come to life. To test the designs, students raced dragsters in a head- tohead competition!


Showcase classrooms tutoring

Small group tutorials and remediation are well underway this year! Before and after school and during T3 you can see teachers working closely with small groups of students to fill gaps and deepen understanding.


Showcase classroom technology

If you have never tried Moby Max, it is definitely a site to check out! Ms. Ennis constantly uses the self-paced and free program with her students. After taking a diagnostic tests, students are guided through lessons to fill gaps and earn rewards!


Showcase classroom

Check out the awesome collaborative student work hanging outside of Mrs. Houston-Jones and Mrs. McDavid’s classrooms! After participating in the V, E, and S of the lesson, groups TRANSFORMED their learning by creating a lotus diagram of the characteristics of a memoir.


Showcase classroom Ms. Coyne’s Theater II students performed Jack and the Three Sillies for an audience of 1st period students in the cafeteria. Based on old European and American folk tales, this story is an ensemble of actors portraying several characters as well as trees, walls, doors, and any other necessary scenery pieces.

After Mrs. Johnson completed a counseling lesson in Mrs. Wachowiak’s T3 class, she decided to extend the lesson a little further. The “Cool 2 B Kind” hearts have positive and encouraging words for all to see as they walk by her room.


In an effort to get to know some new faces at TSMS, the Titan Tell-All will now feature a “TEACHER SPOTLIGHT” section! Teacher spotlight

How many years have you been teaching? Umm…6 months! 2. What is you favorite thing about teaching at TSMS? Well…the kids are wonderful! I have subbed at other places and the kids here are great! 3. Who is your favorite superhero? I don’t even know any superheroes…I guess Batman…he is mysterious. 4. What is something about you that not many people know? There’s a chance I like dogs more than people. If I won the lottery I would open my own dog rescue. 5. Who is your favorite sports mascot? The Baylor Bear 6. When you were little, what did you want to be when you grew up? Anything from working at NASA to a fashion magazine editor and everything in between. I did always know I wanted to be a teacher. 7. If you had to eat one food everyday the rest of your life, what would it be? chips and salsa!
