The Titan Tell-All is a bi-weekly newsletter highlighting the awesome instruction and events going on around TSMS. There are SO many great things going on, it is hard to catch them all! If you, or someone you know, has an outstanding idea that should be showcased, please let Ashley Roberts know! UPDATE: Thank you for all of the emails, IMs, texts, and phone calls, telling me to get my camera to your neighbor’s room asap! Keep them coming!!!

The Annual 12 Days of Christmas Elves are already hard at work this year! Day 12 was cinnamon rolls and Day 11 a sweet and salty snack! What will next week bring??


FIELDHOUSE GRAND RE-OPENING!! Current happenings

You are invited to come celebrate the Grand Re-Opening of the Field House next week from Monday-Friday! It is a great place to hold department meetings, team meetings, committee meetings, individual lesson planning or parent conferences.

During the week of the Grand Reopening, all visitors will receive treats and possible door prizes! Come check it out next week!


Current happenings

Students alongside teachers were trained this week on the new Chromebooks! If you missed the training and would still like to check out the Chromebooks‌ don’t worry! You can contact Shannon Bryant to visit you for an individual session, or come train your students! She will also be back after the holidays for further learning opportunities!

All math and science teachers completed a 3-series workshop on the Promethean Board and Active Inspire software. They are all energized and bursting to incorporate this exciting technology with their students!


Showcase classrooms GTT students collaborate together and communicate with others while thinking critically to create a program for semi-automated systems . How is that for 21st century learning?

The sense of community in Mrs. Hodge’s Speech class is jawdropping! Students feel safe and accepted enough to take risks and make mistakes. The engaging games are a blast too!

The intensive, small group instruction in Ms. Forster’s Dyslexia class is to be envied. She uses colored tiles to identify beginning, medial and terminating sounds of a word.

7th grade ELA students get out of the classroom to gallery walk a short story. A different part of language is examined at each station.

7th grade science has been invaded by “Marshans”!! Marshan genetics that is. After “drawing from the gene pool”, students then created their baby marshan based on dominate and recessive traits.


Ms. Forster’s students are responsible for tracking their own progress and goals in their data folder! She also asks them to think metacognitively in this survey!

A final reminder to enjoy the time of year!! Thanks to the PALS and creative writing students for teaming up to create the festive stockings! Not only did all teachers receive one, but also some residents at a nearby living facility!
