The creek trail to the falls through the water was full of water-carved shale, colorful fall leaves, various rocks, and miniature rapids. Choosing to visit the area in the fall meant water levels were low and leaves covered the ground. As I hiked along the trail, I could hear the moving water and my nose was filled with crisp autumn air. Venturing to see the falls meant climbing narrow paths of steep sides, jumping from rock to rock, and making my way around deep pools of water.
