RESUME About Me
I am a junior at the University of Kentucky, studying interior design through studio work and traveling abroad. I also take part in learning all aspects of design, including graphic design, fashion, marketing, photography, branding, and travel. Through my studio work, I demonstrate strengths such as, willingness to learn, executing tasks, time management, strategic thinking and relationship building. I complete goals and tasks efficiently and comfortably as a leader and within teams.
Design Experience New York City Tour for Merchandising, Hospitality, Apparel ,and Textiles: A week long study tour and appointments with Macy’s Color Room, Cotton Inc., Ross, Klenfeld, Century 21, Trunk Club, Jeweler show room, NYC Inc., Kate Spade, and D. Matt Smith Co. The exposure to career opportunities while learning about theories, ideas, strategies, and insight representatives from each company. Education Abroad Program Ancient to Modern Architecture Spain & Italy. Professor Mark O’Bryan : Experienced Spanish and Italian cultures, traditions, and how each country infleunced different aspects of design. Teacher Cadet Program Greenville Senior High School: This course approached and provided insight into the nature of teaching, the problems of schooling, and thecritical issues affecting the quality of education in American’s schools. The hands-on experience afforded me the opportunity to further engage my natural teaching abilities in working with someone one-on-one and small groups.

RAW MANIPULATION Educational Design Spring 2017
Project Brief
Concept Statement
Our group was tasked with the re-design of the ground and first floor atrium spaces within the Civil Engineering department of the College of Engineering at the University of Kentucky, in the existing Oliver Raymond Building. Through observations and interviews of key stake holders, we have begun to create a master plan of the building that provides spaces allow for collaboration, study spaces, group work, technology integration, and individual work. This study includes the concept of “fillingin the current atrium spaces and the air space above the hydrosystems lab in the basement. With these additional spaces created, this allows for the opportunity to revisit all the spaces to work together.
Through the design, the existing atrium spaces will be manipulated to fit the needs of the students in a variety of ways. Each manipulation will boost the flexibility and opportunity for productivity within the space. The need for space for students to work, think, and interact as a group will be achieved through providing work and lounge areas equipped with furniture that is accommodating to multiple seating arrangements. While the atrium spaces will be covered to create more square footage, the natural light streaming from the glass elevator that penetrates the spaces will continue to carry through to the basement level through the use of light shafts, transparent materials such as glass, and intentional furniture placement. The utilization and application of raw materials will help tell the story of what makes up the process of civil engineering at its very simplest form and earliest stages.

CIRCULATION STUDY Client & User Analysis Our mission is to redesign the basement and first floor atriums to fulfill its true purpose for the College of Civil Engineering and to provide the students and faculty with spaces that allow for collaboration, study spaces, group work, technology integration, and individual work spaces. Our focus is to design these spaces for the faculty, undergraduate, graduate, and master students who are within the College of Civil Engineering who are “developing tomorrow’s infrastructure through the diverse disciplines of Civil Engineering”. Students and faculty will be working and studying geotechnical, water resources, environmental, transportation, construction and structural engineering, as well as other related fields, allow students to discover which area of civil engineering is right for them (3/11/2017,https://www engr uky.edu/ ce/). Lastly, to restore the College of Civil Engineering to its fullest educational potential to bring in potential students for College.

VILLA FOR A PATRIOT Study Abroad Spain & Italy Anicent to Modern Architecture Summer 2016
Concept Statement The Villa for a Patriot, located in Santa Barbara, California, is a supreme structure that is an oasis for a presidental candidate. The construction and use of material are inspired by the Barcelona Pavilion in Barcelona, Spain. This dominate modern home allowd for a 360 degree view of ocean landscape from both the second and ground levels. Much like the Pavilion in Barcelona, the structure is supported by a peaceful green space and a pool that is calming and awe inspiring. The use of the modern materials like concrete, steel, glass, and exotic stones are utilized carefully to support the structure as well as create experiental spaces. Again, reinforcing 20th century ideals in modern architecture. Logia’s direct the flow of traffic as well as support the experience of the home. Floor to ceiling glass windows connect the inside with the outside and allow for natural light so that the resident can enjoy the rise and fall of the sun.
The north and west side of the home are open and spacious to accommodate for public activities that include family and guests. Towards the south side of the home, private spaces are designated for the resident. The symmetric and unbalanced sides provide privacy and zones for tranquility for the exposed interior spaces and interior pool. The ground floor has access to the entrance, interior pool, and stair cases. The concrete interior walls are simple but symbolize strength. Strategic placement of free standing marble walls create a composition of a “space within a space”. In addition, symbolizing the extravagence of the exotic materials of the modern age. The home symbolizes a timeless and modern example of architecture. It includes all the modern amenities but somehow quietly affords the resident and its guests an experience of ages.
