I challenge myself to explore avenues that take me to better understand new demographics, lifestyles, cultures, and trends. Previous studios, including an international studio in Spain, Italy, Thailand, and Cambodia heightened my interest in history, culture, health and wellness services, and design theory. My endeavors in global travel have deepened my interest in experiential branding and wellness design. Through my design lens, I focus in on principle elements that spark new development, taking a design challenge and turning it into a design opportunity, and pushing new boundaries to create the best outcome. I am focusing my future endeavors within the areas of hospitality and retail design to pursue, build, and expand my knowledge to create, inspire, and motivate.

The kitchen layout allows for a family of 4 to 6 to cook, work, and socialize in one place. The work station triangle comfortably accommodates the oven, sink and refrigerator. Appliances like the dishwasher are convenient to the sink.The island centrally locally provides a work station for mutli-tasking and sight lines in every direction of the kitchen.

MATERIALS:
Industrial pendant lights and machine stools, iron shelf brackets and cabinet hardware reinforce the artisan’s story and will with-stand the test of time in this active home center. Aspecta’s Ash-brown luxury vinyl plank tile simulating wood is a nod to the old farm house floor without the expense and ease of maintenance. Wilsonart’s newest laminate pattern has an elegant, striking resemblance of an old world marble countertop and on an adjacent wall a floor to ceiling chalkboard adds a whimsical surface for the family. White cabinets from the Newport Collection at Home Depot keeps the kitchen from feeling confined and it’s highly reflective surface adds light. Bead board surrounds the back of the island to allow for easy cleaning and protection while seating.

Materials:
The use of modern materials like concrete, steel, glass, and exotic stones are utilized carefully to support the structure as well as create experiential spaces. The concrete interior walls are simiple but symbolize strength. Strategic placement of free standing marble walls create a composition of a “space within a space”. In addition, symbolizing all the extravagance of exotic materials of the modern age.
Space Planning:
This dominate modern home allows for a 360 degree view of the ocean landscape from both the ground and floor levels. Logia ‘s direct the flow of traffic as well as support the experience of the home. The north and west side of the home are open and spacious to accommodate for public activities . Towards the south side of the home, private spaces are designated for the resident. The symmetric and unbalanced sides provide privacy and zones of tranquility for the exposed interior spaces and interior pool.
