Chelsea A. Wolf Boat Mate on Bay Spirit II The Florida Aquarium, Tampa Everyone fantasizes about finding the perfect job that doesn't feel like work. Chelsea Wolf found her dream job at The Florida Aquarium. Chelsea works as a boat mate on the Bay Spirit II, and assists with researching the Tampa Bay area dolphin population, an animal she’s passionate about. She’s also a Harry Potter enthusiast, enjoying the books, movies and theme park. Chelsea’s responsible for providing a quality experience while upholding the standard of safety for the passengers. After receiving her Veterinary Assistant Certification at the Professional Career Development Institution in Norcross, Georgia, Chelsea moved to Florida for an internship at the Miami Seaquarium. During her time in Miami, she joined the International Association for Aquatic Animal Medicine and the Society of Marine Mammalogy. Finding time between being a member of the International Marine Animal Trainers Association, and volunteering with outreach programs, Chelsea’s passionate about spending quality time with friends and family. In 2009, Chelsea volunteered with Xavier University’s Midwest Florida Manatee Research Project to assist in the study of behavior and vocalization of manatees. This study lead to the understanding of how manatees vocals work. The Florida Aquarium’s conservation and outreach programs are what brought her to work for the organization in 2011. Chelsea’s eye for detail and creative mind helped remodel the Wild Dolphin Photo Identification program in 2014. She’s also contributed to the Web series by discussing the Dolphin Photo ID program with the Shark Brothers. Her passion for animals has lead to an increase in grant money for the aquarium and has given her the chance to network. Chelsea’s devoted to working for an organization that values team work and personal success at a high standard like hers.
