SMITTYS JULEP BAR Kansas Smitty’s is setting up shop on Broadway Market. Six nights a week, this sixty-capacity intimate basement bar will serve up a menu centred around our signature drink: the julep. Smitty’s juleps infuse raw spirit with botanicals and flavours to create eight wholly unique takes on the original cocktail.

BROADWAY MARKET Broadway Market is the undisputed epicentre of the East London, laid-back-cool revolution. The weekend market attracts twenty thousand visitors every Saturday and is home to trendsetting independent bars and shops. Smitty’s sets a trend of its own as the first live music centred venue on the Market. The native creative community together with Saturday market-goers will find the bar a welcome addition to an already vibrant scene.
THE SOUND OF SMITTYS The Kansas Smitty’s House Band play original swing music. From Ronnie Scotts to Wilderness Festival, when Smitty’s eight members get together, the vibe is electric. A night at the bar will be a seamless flow of House Band sessions to classic record plays. On Wednesdays, the bar will host its weekly ‘Basement Tapes’ session. These concerts will feature a collection of new pieces written and rehearsed that week in the bar. Wednesday performances will be live streamed and recorded for airing on our weekly radio show, ‘Smitty’s Basement Tapes’.
