Social entrepreneurs are individuals with innovative solutions to society’s most pressing social problems. From its regional office in Cairo, Ashoka Arab World creates a competitive, entrepreneurial, and globally integrated citizen sector and develops the profession of social entrepreneurship. Ashoka currently works with over 75 Ashoka Fellows located in Egypt, Jordan, Lebanon, Morocco, Palestine, Kuwait and Saudi Arabia.

Position Title: Media and Marketing Intern Reports To: Media and Marketing Assistant Duration: A 3 months Internship Starting Date: Immediate Start Office hours: 9 am to 5 pm Working days: Sunday through Thursday, with Friday and Saturday off Office Location: Manial, Cairo Required Tasks and Deliverables: Ashoka Arab World is seeking a creative Media and Marketing Intern who will:  Be responsible of Ashoka social media channels.  Propose, in close collaboration with the Media and Marketing Assistant, a marketing strategy for Ashoka Arab world with tangible goals and a respective timeline with regards to: - New marketing methods - New partnerships - Regional events in which Ashoka can participate  Reach out to national and international media outlets to showcase the work of Ashoka Fellows and programs Note: Deliverables may extend to other items during the three months of the internship.

Qualifications: Education: B.A. in a relevant field, preferably in Social Sciences, Business, Economics, or Political Science.

Experience and Requirements:  1- 2 years of relevant experience is required, preferably in business planning and marketing  Excellent written and spoken English  Good written and spoken Arabic  Excellent communication skills  Proficient in MS Office programs (Power Point, Word and Excel)
