Deasy Swandarini, the general manager of The Chedi Club Ubud, proudly commented: “Bali’s got it all – beaches, temples, volcanoes, rice paddies, puppets, dancers, sacred forests – but no balloons. A balloon is exactly the way to see Ubud from on high.” Balloon tours have been popular in some of the world’s most exotic locations, but not in Bali.
