The beach club’s PR spin says the new venue will offer, “Memories of Miami, Acapulco, Palm Springs, Tulum and Playa Del Carmen woven into a drink and dine beach club unique to Bali.” Tropicola Beach Club features three bars over multiple levels surrounding two pools. Beverage director, Denny Deluca won the World Fair Bartending Tour and has travelled the world performing in master classes and trade shows.
“If you ever watched ‘Cocktail’, the movie with Tom Cruise...that’s how I feel. Mixing drinks at Tropicola on the beach in Bali, a bartender couldn’t dream of anything better,” said Deluca. Tropicola’s open kitchen is centred on wood-fired cooking, helmed by British-born chef Steve Skelly. And a beach bar in Bali is nothing without its music, which will be spun by Juan Ego from the Yutacan peninsula in Mexico. He is an Argentinian who has lived in Playa Del Carmen for almost 20 years, playing the biggest beach, villa and hotel parties since the 80’s.

Makassar International Eight Festival & Forum (MIEFF). That’s the complete nickname. However, this annual event is often called the Eight Festival or F8. It is called F8 because this festival combines all the creative potential of Fashion, Food, Fiction Writers & Fonts, Fine Art, Folks, Fusion Music, Flora & Fauna, and Film. And, all of that is rooted in local traditions and culture. MIEFF 2018 which will certainly not lose out from

The event was attended by a number of representatives from friendly countries and packed with tourists from within and outside the country. In addition to a series of main events, there are also other events that accompany F8, such as Flying Kite, Flying Board, Jetski, Indonesia Creative Cities Conference, and others.

TIRTA EMPUL PIODALAN Temple Anniversary On 24th September, the temple complex of Tirta Empul will be the site of offerings, prayers and pilgrimages as part of its Piodalan Anniversary. One of Bali’s most significant cultural heritage sites, the temple is said to be the setting for one of Bali’s most legendary tales, which tells the story of the victory of good over evil.
About Tirta Empul Temple: Tirta Empul is an important temple complex and holy mountain spring, located in the village of Manukaya in central Bali. It is also a national cultural heritage site. The complex, built approximately 960 AD, is also a silent witness to the old Balinese kingdom years, particularly at the time of the Warmadewa Dynasty. Another nearby and prominent site on top of a hill is the presidential palace, Istana Tampaksiring, built during the years of the nation’s first president, Soekarno. Tirta Empul, meaning ‘holy water spring’ is actually the name of a water source located within the temple. The spring feeds various purification baths, pools and fish ponds surrounding the outer perimeter, which all flow to the Tukad Pakerisan River. Various sites throughout the region and many other archaeological relics relate to local myths and legends.

LOVINA BEACH FESTIVAL 2018 The Lovina Beach Festival is held in September each year along Kalibukbuk Beach on the northern part of the island near Lovina. One of the main reasons for this beach festival is that it draws thousands of people to a less visited part of the island. As Lovina is located on the northern coast of Bali, not many people make the effort to travel up there during their stay in Bali.
The Lovina Beach Festival is a 3 (three) days festival that highlights the

practices of the Balinese people especially at the North part of Bali. An opening ceremony will be presented in the opening of the event along with a musical and dance parade. 42

PHINISI FESTIVAL 2018 South Sulawesi will host three major events this year as part of the 100 Wonderful Events Indonesia 2018. The events are the Makassar International Eight Festival and Forum ( F8 ), the Lovely Toraja Festival and the Phinisi Festival, as reported by kompas.com. Scheduled for Sept. 13 to 16, this year’s Phinisi Festival will be held in the district of Bulukumba. The festival is dedicated to the phinisi, a two-masted wooden sailing ship and an Indonesian maritime heritage. The festival seeks to showcase the unique phinisi shipbuilding culture, which was traditionally done by hand and using only wood.
