The general ledger below covers the period 1930–38 and was used to record the school accounts. In addition to tracking tuition payments and salaries, the ledger includes records of the heat, light and water payments made by the school and US dollar investments. Among the list of purchases is a piano, bought on June 30, 1933 for the princely sum of ¥650.
