The range topping V8 version of the new Defender has been seen at the Nürburgring being put through its paces ahead of its 2021 debut. It is expected that it will be powered by a 4.4 litre V8 engine which will produce around 500bhp.

SOFTWARE UPDATE FOR BMW CONNECTED CARS

Latest-generation BMW models will gain cloud-based navigation and smartphone-based digital keys. The free update will bring cloud-based navigation to BMW Maps, enable the recently announced Digital Key technology for Apple iPhones, and redesign the BMW Intelligent Personal Assistant, as well as introduce wireless Android Auto for the first time.
