FERNANDO BOTERO Few artists have created a world as distinctive as Botero’s, instantly recognizable by rotund, sensual forms and extraordinary use of color. One of the most successful contemporary artists, Botero nevertheless continues exploring with the same fighting attitude of his beginnings, as for him an artist is never complete and the process of knowledge has no end. “One can never claim to know how to paint with ultimate fineness,” he asserts. “The importance is never to lose a strong inner feeling and sense of determination, to continue loyally developing one’s consistent personal style.” By Cristina Carrillo de Albornoz | 14 x 17 in – 35.5 x 42 cm | 144 pages 100 illustrations | hand-bound limited edition in a linen clamshell case Regular edition: ISBN: 9781614284734 | $845 – £550 Signed, numbered edition (100 copies): ISBN: 9781614284772 | $1,750 – £1,150

FENDI ROMA
We are nearly ninety, we are very traditional, but we have a great sense of humor. SILVIA VENTURINI FENDI

It is a family company too—Silvia Venturini Fendi, the creative director for accessories and menswear, belongs to the third generation in the business. Founded 100 years ago in Barcelona by Antonio Puig, an art lover and habitué of the artistic circles of the time, this third-generation family-owned fashion and fragrance company has become one of the most important luxury groups in the world. During the 1960s the business evolved into a modern global corporation with the signing of groundbreaking designer Paco Rabanne, the establishment of its own research and development laboratories, and collaboration with cutting-edge talent in the field of advertising and marketing. Brands under the Puig umbrella today include Paco Rabanne, Carolina Herrera, Jean Paul Gaultier, and Nina Ricci; the fragrance divisions of Comme des Garçons, Prada, and Valentino; the fragrance lines of celebrities Antonio Banderas and Shakira; plus the fragrances of Adolfo Dominguez, Agatha Ruiz de la Prada, and Mango. Guided by the original family vision of creativity, innovation, and entrepreneurship, Puig builds brands into prestigious international icons of luxury.
THE PUIG SPECIALTY IS CAPTURING AND BOTTLING THE DREAMS THAT FASHION EVOKES.
