ASSUMPTION COLLEGE
Com m e nc e m e n t
2013
Dear fa m i ly m e m b e r s of t h e C l a s s of
2 0 13 :
On behalf of the Assumption College community, it is my pleasure to invite you to join us for Commencement activities on May 10 and May 11. The information presented in this brochure will provide you with answers to many of the questions you may have. Please know that tickets are required to the Baccalaureate SoirĂŠe, but tickets are not required for any other event, including Commencement exercises. Generally, events involving family members begin on Friday, May 10 at 5 p.m. at the Baccalaureate Mass, held at The Cathedral of St. Paul. The final Commencement activity is the reception immediately following graduation on May 11. Commencement is an important and formal academic ceremony that recognizes the significant accomplishment of the graduates and highlights the traditions of the College, beginning with the academic procession. To keep the ceremony both meaningful and memorable, we ask everyone to maintain appropriate decorum, and not bring noisemakers, balloons or banners to the event. We encourage you to stay up-to-date with Commencement-related activities by checking our Web site at www.assumption.edu/commencement. Please contact Daniel DiTullio at 508-767-7478 or e-mail him at df.ditullio@assumption.edu if you have questions or need more information. We look forward to your visit for Commencement events and ceremonies, and hope the occasion will be filled with much happiness for your family. Sincerely,
Francis M. Lazarus, Ph.D. Provost

There will be two photographs of each student – one as he/she receives the diploma (action shot) and one as he/ she exits the stage with the diploma (posed shot). Students will be contacted at their home addresses by the photographer, Commencement Photos, Inc., regarding ordering and purchasing photos.
