Game Time

The time has finally come! This weekend our team is embarking on their first game for the spring season. The team has been practicing at every available opportunity and will continue to do so until game time. The team was scheduled to play their first game at the end of January, but it was decided to forfeit that game and instead have the first game in the first weekend of February. Everyone has been so excited to get out and stretch their legs both on the field and in the gym. With that in mind, the beginning of our season did not start off so smoothly. It has been a hard journey due to several different things; one of which is the weather. This spring Boone, NC has had an influx of rain and very little sunshine. This means that our team has not been able to practice on the State Farm fields regularly. This also means that for our upcoming game on Saturday we are struggling to find a field. So far, the consensus is that our game against UNCC will be held at UNCC rather than in Boone, but this is still undecided. Another difficulty that our team has encountered is that we are running low on numbers. To counter this, we have been advertising and getting the word out about the team.
