The Herberger Institute for Design and the Arts operates across four cities in two states, including in downtown Los Angeles.
As part of the Herberger Institute Creative Economy Hub LA, which connects us to one of the world’s most important centers of cultural and creative industries, we offer several degree programs for students wanting to study at the ASU California Center.
The ASU California Center Broadway, located in the renovated historic Herald Examiner building, is custom designed for emerging technology curriculum, including a large green screen that allows for virtual reality productions and a large Planar LCD wall for immersive film and video.
Located in the center of the fashion, entertainment, jewelry and financial districts, the ASU California Center Grand’s award-winning campus features design studios; a specialized library with an extensive collection of fashion, design and trend resources; the ASU FIDM Museum with over 15,000 fashion objects; technology labs and a world-class innovative and sustainable textile collection.

• Master of Arts in Narrative and Emerging Media , a joint program between The Sidney Poitier New American Film School and the Walter Cronkite School of Journalism and Mass Communication Semester in LA
• Arizona-based film school students may apply for the Semester in LA, a twelve-credit program that includes an internship opportunity in LA.
