The landscape architecture program at The Design School teaches students techniques and principles to shape the outdoor environment, making the world more sustainable, healthy and beautiful. Students create large-scale designs integrated in urban planning and landscape ecological design. Through integrated curriculum and studios, students understand concepts of site planning, residential design, park and recreation design, and landscape reclamation. Students develop a deep knowledge in ecology, the natural environment, design and art, sustainability and construction technology, hand drawing and digital rendering, and urban revitalization. Through this top-ranking program, students learn to improve the ecological and social health of whole cities, including wilderness areas, neighborhoods, urban parks and gardens.
