The School of Mathematical and Statistical Sciences hosts the annual Actuarial Science Career Day, where students meet faceto-face with potential employers to learn about internship and employment opportunities.
Students gain real-world experience participating in practical, cutting-edge industry projects, working alongside corporate industry leaders, faculty and mentors in collaboration with The Actuarial Research Lab.
Students can find community among the many student-run clubs, such as Gamma Iota Sigma, an international fraternity that encourages student interest in insurance, risk management and actuarial science as professions.

Recognized as a Center for Actuarial Excellence by the Society of Actuaries, joining a group of 22 programs in the U.S. with the society’s highest designation. Received Gold Tier ranking by the Casualty Actuarial Society University Recognition Program, which recognizes academic institutions with a demonstrated commitment to preparing property and casualty actuaries through their educational offerings. 17 scholarships for undergraduate students, including many for actuarial science majors.
