Dear The College community,
As you may already be aware, starting July 1, I will transition from my role as dean of The College of Liberal Arts and Sciences and begin my work full-time as Executive Vice Provost for Arizona State University.
Having served as dean of The College for the last twelve years, I have come to know and love this diverse community of learners, leaders and relentless advocates for the inherent value of the liberal arts and sciences.
I have every confidence that The College’s new dean, Kenro Kusumi, will be a strong leader for The College and advance successfully our mission to educate the next generation in the power of language, culture and society, critical thinking, scientific exploration and discovery.
I’m grateful to be staying a part of the Sun Devil community, and I look forward to seeing what’s next for The College. As the largest college and the academic heart of ASU, The College’s work will always be critical in ensuring success for the New American University.
