No Shave for Most of November Contest 3 p.m., Red Square Free

Follow the light of the full moon and get out of the city and into the spectacular Cascade Mountains, also known as the American Alps, and rumored to be the most spectacular range in North America. Price includes snowshoes, hiking poles, guides and transportation.

This is a gender-inclusive event, hosted by Western’s Residence Hall Association. Western faculty and staff will be judging. There is no preevent sign up; just show up and have your lovely hair checked out and maybe win a prize! Categories: Facial Hair Vet: If you normally do not shave your face; Newbie: Not shaving for just November; Leg Hair Vet: If you normally do not shave your legs; Newbie: Not shaving for just November. It does not matter the sex or gender you identify with to enter for any category!

Fred Beckey at Western 7-9 p.m., Fairhaven Auditorium Free Fred Beckey, the most prolific first ascenscionist in North America, will be presenting a slide show and film on his climbing experiences.

KVIK You Would! Fall episode 8 p.m., doors open at 7:30 p.m., Arntzen 100 Free You Would! is Western’s sketch comedy show. Doors open at 7:30 p.m. The Dead Parrot’s Society will be performing.

Outdoor Center Gear Grab 6-8 p.m., Multipurpose Room To sell gear: Free for Western or Whatcom Students, $10 for outside vendors The annual new- and used-gear sale put on by the AS Outdoor Center where students and outside vendors can buy or sell any type of outdoor gear. To buy gear: free admission for all. There will be a live DJ, a bake sale for charity donations and lots of cheap gear!

WEDNESDAY Nov. 24 Thanksgiving Break begins. No classes after noon.

THURSDAY Nov. 25 Thanksgiving. Be thankful.
