Ingredients:
8 slices thick brioche bread
1 4oz log Celebrity Lavender Honey sheep’s milk cheese, softened
¾ cup whole fat milk
2 eggs
1 tsp vanilla extract
2 Tbsp butter
1-2 Tbsp powdered sugar
Maple syrup for serving
Directions:
Spread sheep’s milk cheese evenly on 4 slices of bread. Place remaining 4 slices over top of each piece with the sheep’s cheese to create a “sandwich.” Press down firmly and slice into 9 equal squares. In a shallow dish or bowl, whisk together milk, eggs, and vanilla
Add the bread pieces to the dish and allow them to soak for a bit (flipping them over too so they coat on both sides).
Warm a large skillet with butter over medium heat.
Add in bread pieces to the skillet and cook until golden brown, about 2-3 minutes per side. Repeat with the remaining french toast bites. Transfer to a plate and sprinkle with powdered sugar. Serve with warmed maple syrup.
