GETTING BACK IN SHAPE! Last month we finished our first Fancy Food Show in NYC since July 2019, or about 6 to 7 months before COVID hit or three years ago! Like prime athletes, I expected us to be a little out of shape by jumping back into the specialty food show rink with only a short warm up in Las Vegas in February. Still, we came through relatively unscathed, and it was wonderful to interact with customers, new and old.

We were celebrating at the show with three Gold sofi awards this year. It is an unbelievable honor for us— Infused Lavender A L'Olivier from France, 776 Deluxe Mastic Honey from Greece, and the Extra Virgin Olive Oil from Melchiorri family in Italy.

Melchiorri IN ANTIQUITY THIS LAND WAS CULTIVATED BY THE ETRUSCANS. Located in Spoleto in the heart of Umbria, Melchiorri has been in the market now for more than 40 years. Harsh climatic conditions here are not good for large scale production but the yield is of high quality. The olives are hand harvested between October and December and milled the same day.
