Widgets Inc. is an international award-winning course* for English language learners. It employs an engaging workplace simulation, wherein groups of language learners at CEFR B1+ work on a sequence of connected projects and tasks. Lessons are sequenced by increasing task complexity, in accordance with a strong task-based (TBLT) approach to English language teaching.
The course is ideal for classes of 16 to 24 students who meet regularly for about 40 to 80 hours. As it does not follow a grammar-based syllabus, it works especially well for mixed-proficiency classes. Visit widgepedia.com for more information, to access video components, and for full lesson plans. A high-quality print edition is available internationally from englishbooks.jp.
