Exploring the notion of heterotopias by proposing a nuclear fallout shelter that inhabits the existing infrastructure of the New York subway system, acting as a prototype that can be implemented in other metropolis’s metro systems.

HOUSING queens architecture Building on the water is not a novel idea for New York, but what this housing studio allowed was to experiemnt with the ideas of embracing flooding through soft engineering in a post sandy world.

Ă˜4 Slip School architecture The school’s site is situated at 1 Peck Slip on the Hudson river, from the expermentation, a sense of a modulation of light, materiality and transperancy to create an environment that is both tactily and visually appealing to the diverse user groups of the schools.

Reimagining water street Urban Design The goal to reinvent the water street Privately owned public space (POPS) through the Pops incentive zoning program was interpretted and manifested in 2 ways. through the litereal take on the word pop and to create pop up exhibits as seen in infill art, secondly through infill market, a pop up market place.

anaglyph spirograph visual studies The scripting of the spirographs was very interesting in the sense of the simplicity of the generator. What fascinated me even further was that the line work that was being generated was for three dimensional spirographs. Seeing them in multiple perspectives influenced my decision to pursue adding even more dimension to the installation by the introduction of the element of anaglyph three dimension.

Head In the clouds digital fabrication an annual exhibition that rethinks the representation of architectural work. a collaborative effort between michael szivos and a group of 15 gaud students. the large scale installation was installed in the Hazel and Robert H. Siegel Gallery. All the images are by photographer alan tansey.
