The epic story of Prince Siegfried and his doomed love for Odette is magnificently brought to life in all its original splendour by Tchaikovsky’s hauntingly familiar score. This flawless production is a stunning demonstration of the precision, artistry and sheer grace for which Moscow City Ballet is renowned throughout the world. The company is brimming with some of Russia’s best young dancers – outstanding principals, stunning soloists and a sublime corps de ballet – all enhanced by the dynamic vitality of a live orchestra. Tchaikovsky’s ‘big story ballets’ are the essence of Russian culture and seeing performances by the Moscow City Ballet dancers never fails to add that magical ingredient of Russian soul.

Inspired by the smash hit multi-million selling albums Dreamboats and Petticoats One, Two, Three, Four and Five, the West End sell out sensation Dreamboats and Petticoats The Musical features some of the greatest hit songs of the Rock ‘n’ Roll era. The dazzling success of the first five albums in the Dreamboats and Petticoats series sent the message loud and clear. With over two million copies sold and several weeks at the Number One spot in the compilation charts, the Great British public were saying that they didn’t just want to listen to pure nostalgia: they’d love to see it as well. In 1961 emotions run high as young musicians Norman and Bobby compete to win a national song writing competition – and, more importantly, the attention of the gorgeous Sue! But when Bobby discovers that shy Laura is no slouch on the piano, love and rock ‘n’ roll fame beckons. Written by Laurence Marks and Maurice Gran, the team behind Goodnight Sweetheart, Birds of a Feather, and The New Statesman. Dreamboats and Petticoats – the songs will live forever. Featuring classic tracks from: Roy Orbison, The Shadows, Eddie Cochrane, Billy Fury and many more.

OPERA AND BALLET INTERNATIONAL PRESENTS ELLEN KENT’S OPERA FESTIVAL WITH INTERNATIONAL SOLOISTS, A HIGHLY PRAISED CHORUS AND FULL ORCHESTRA La Bohème: One of the most romantic operas ever written. It tells the tragic tale of the doomed, consumptive Mimi and her love for a penniless writer. The production will include a brass band, snow effects and Musetta’s dog will also make an entrance. Nabucco: Verdi’s haunting and melodic chorus of the Hebrew slaves, Va Pensiero, follows the plight of the Hebrews as they are forced from their homeland into exile by the Babylonian King Nabucco. This powerful tale is laced with revenge, destruction and jealousy and features amazing lighting and stage effects which includes the burning down of Soloman’s temple. Aida: This tragic story of war, jealousy and revenge is brought to life in a production set against one of the greatest pieces of music Verdi ever wrote with the wellknown arias Celeste Aida and Ritorna Vincitor. Featuring a temple dance and the classic Triumphal March with fire performers and cascades of glittering gold. All operas are sung in Italian with English surtitles. †Cast subject to change. *Horse appears in Aida and Nabucco only.

In a small 17th century New England town a children’s game has terrifying consequences as allegations of witchcraft break out. Quickly caught up in an unstoppable flow of paranoia, accusation and manipulation, the community is consumed by a climate of suspicion where no person is safe from its neighbour. An allegory of the chilling McCarthyism of American politics in the 1950’s, The Crucible also serves as a warning to future generations. Enter the world of sensationalism, hysteria and the power of celebrity that was the Salem Witch Trials and ask yourself how innocent we can really be as we stand by and watch a witch-hunt unfold. This bold new production of The Crucible is directed by Douglas Rintoul, Artistic Director of the Queen’s Theatre, Hornchurch, and brings together music and movement through a strong and ever-present cast. This atmospheric staging of a theatre classic is co-produced with Sell A Door Theatre Company, in association with Les Théâtres de la Ville de Luxembourg, and is a chilling reminder of the frailty of reason in the face of hysteria.

YOU’RE INVITED TO THE PARTY OF THE YEAR It’s 1985. Hair is huge, greed is good and rock-star wannabe Robbie Hart (Jon Robyns: Avenue Q, Legally Blonde) is New Jersey’s favourite wedding singer. When his own fiancée dumps him at the altar a seriously bummed out Robbie makes every wedding as disastrous as his own. Can sweet natured Julia, (Cassie Compton: X Factor) and her best friend Holly (Roxanne Pallett: Emmerdale, Waterloo Road) lure Robbie out of the dumpster and back into the limelight? Or is he going to see her head off down the aisle with Wall Street bad boy Glenn (Ray Quinn: X Factor, Dancing On Ice)? Only Grandma Rosie (Ruth Madoc: Hi-De-Hi!, Little Britain) seems to be able to see that Robbie and Julia are the couple that are meant to be. Don’t miss your chance to join the party of the year – with a musical that promises to get you up dancing faster than your Dad at a wedding, packed with songs which capture all the fun and energy of the Adam Sandler smash hit film.

‘THE SHOW THAT LEFT ME ALL SHOOK UP!’ DAILY MAIL

Following its success in the West End, Las Vegas and on Broadway, Million Dollar Quartet is coming to Manchester! This worldwide smash-hit musical is inspired by the famous recording session that brought together rock ‘n’ roll icons Elvis Presley, Johnny Cash, Jerry Lee Lewis and Carl Perkins for the first and only time. On December 4, 1956, these four star musicians gathered at Sun Records in Memphis, the studios of legendary record producer Sam Phillips (Jason Donovan), for what would be one of the greatest jam sessions ever. Million Dollar Quartet, written by Colin Escott and Floyd Mutrux, brings that legendary night to life, featuring a score of rock hits including Blue Suede Shoes, Fever, That’s All Right, Sixteen Tons, Great Balls of Fire, Walk the Line, Whole Lotta Shakin’ Goin’ On, Who Do You Love? and many more.
