INTERMEDIATE Mondays 7 - 8.30pm Ages 16+ | £80 per term (10 weeks)

Our Youth Theatre features a varied programme of fun drama activities for young people aimed at building confidence, self-esteem and communication skills. Areas we may explore during sessions include mask, physical theatre, mime, script work, improvisation, devising, movement and voice work. In addition to the above we also produce an annual youth theatre production performed at a local venue in the Spring term.

Our adult ballet classes combine the basics of ballet technique with the gracefulness of movement, creating a great workout class that will improve your fitness, posture and flexibility.

A 45 minute cardio and toning session achieved in one fun, exciting and fast paced fitness class! Our dance fit classes incorporate elements of salsa, hip-hop, disco and jazz dance alongside great music. You’ll burn a lot of calories in one session and have a great time doing it!

Tap dance is great for improving rhythm, musicality and co-ordination.

Milton Keynes Theatre offers three week long work experience placements per year aimed at young people aged 16 and above who are studying a related course or subject at sixth form, college or equivalent and are looking to gain an insight into working behind the scenes in a theatre. Work experience weeks give successful applicants the opportunity to spend a day working with our Creative Learning, Box Office, Front of House, Technical and Marketing departments. Milton Keynes Theatre is a receiving house; a theatre which solely presents touring productions, therefore we are not able to provide students with work experience in acting, production, stage management, wardrobe, theatrical make-up or directing. Our work experience placements are only suitable for those interested in gaining a greater understanding of how a theatre operates and the different departments within it.
