TUE 12 - SAT 16 FEB Tue - Sat eves 7.30pm Thu & Sat mats 2.30pm

New Adventures’ 25th birthday culminates with the world premiere of Matthew Bourne’s latest re-imagining of a ballet classic.

TICKETS £15 - £33.50 Premium seats £38.50

Sleeping Beauty sees Bourne return to the music of Tchaikovsky to complete the trio of ballet masterworks that started with Nutcracker! and the international smash hit, Swan Lake. Our story begins in 1890 at the christening of Princess Aurora, a time when fairies and vampires fed the gothic imagination, before moving forward in time to the modern day. Featuring designs by Olivier Award-winners Lez Brotherston (Set and Costumes), Paule Constable (Lighting) with Sound Design by Paul Groothuis, which will take the audience into the heart of Tchaikovsky’s magnificent score in specially recorded surround sound. Matthew Bourne’s haunting new production is a gothic romance for all ages; a supernatural love story that even the passage of time cannot hinder. 12

So begins the saga of Lola and Tony. Their tale of love and romance on the way to stardom had captivated millions and now is a full-scale, Broadway-style musical fantasy. Original songs created by Barry Manilow, dazzling costumes, spectacular sets and sensational choreography all add up to an evening of entertainment that will leave you breathless.

A GLASGOW THEATRE CLASSIC

THE THEATRICAL EVENT OF THE YEAR TIM RICE AND ANDREW LLOYD WEBBER’S MASTERPIECE BILL KENWRIGHT BY SPECIAL ARRANGEMENT WITH THE REALLY USEFUL GROUP PRESENTS

DIRECTED BY BOB TOMSON AND BILL KENWRIGHT DESIGNED BY MATTHEW WRIGHT CHOREOGRAPHED BY BILL DEAMER LIGHTING BY MARK HOWETT SOUND BY BEN HARRISON

‘I’M IN RAPTURES OVER RAPTURE’ DAILY MAIL EDUCATION PACK FOR SCHOOLS AVAILABLE Leading Scottish company, Rapture Theatre, present an exciting new production of a Scottish classic. Set in Glasgow on the day of the Orange Walk, Bill MacWilliam is determined that his son, Cameron, will join him on the walk. However, prompted by his mother’s recent death, Cameron has started to question his father’s beliefs. Throw in the arrival of the staunch Irish Catholic spinster from downstairs and her pregnant niece. Comic chaos and dramatic conflict is the result. Father is pitted against son and niece against aunt as old prejudices are questioned and new ideals sought. A top-notch cast of Scottish and Irish performers will bring this play to thrilling life. Add to this, typical Glasgow humour and thought provoking drama, and you’re guaranteed a great night out. This will be the 40th anniversary of this political comedy which still resonates in Scotland today. 26
