OFFSTAGE EXCITING EVENTS IN UNUSUAL PLACES AROUND THEATRE ROYAL BRIGHTON AMONGST THE STARS FRI 2 - SAT 24 DEC

Something very precious has disappeared, without it things are not quite right, things don’t happen the way they should. A search party is dispatched and amidst the red velvet, gold leaf and limelight they discover a magical world, a world that is keeping something very special, very safe. Herringbone Arts, the team behind last year’s sell out hit A Winter’s Trail, return with a magical tale set around Theatre Royal Brighton for young children and adults to share.

OPEN DAY

THE SHOW MUST GO ON

Inspired by this year’s Christmas show Sunny Afternoon, we are inviting you to explore our beautiful theatre and enjoy a host of 1960s themed activities. 50 years ago The Kinks were topping the charts, the country was celebrating that great footballing victory and the stars of stage and screen were entertaining audiences at Theatre Royal Brighton; take a look back stage where Marlene Dietrich, Anthony Hopkins, Laurence Olivier and Vanessa Redgrave trod the boards in the swinging sixties! FREE

Between now and February half term we are embarking on an exciting project about Theatre Royal Brighton during the First World War. We know the theatre stayed open throughout the war years, now we want to find out what was on stage, what was popular with audiences, which Theatre Royal Brighton staff go to war and who stayed at home?
