Victoria HALL
STOKE-ON-TRENT WH AT ’ S O N | DEC E M B E R 2017 – MAR CH 2018
WELCOME TO THE VICTORIA HALL AND YOUR WHAT’S ON GUIDE…
OUR MAGNIFICENT ORGAN During the summer we lovingly restored our beautiful organ – one of just two in the world like it – to ensure it remains in spectacular condition. Did you know our organ has several computers inside to help operate it?
Music and comedy really are at the heart of our season as we head towards Christmas – with Bill Bailey, Shed Seven and Jools Holland all visiting Stoke-on-Trent.
These have been replaced with much smaller and modern versions.
Our Creative Learning team, based here at The Victoria Hall, is responsible for bringing theatre to the community through education and outreach and has overseen many venue projects, including the recently successful Bedtime Stories, presented by Upswing. Creative Learning Manager, Allie Spencer, joins us from Nottingham Playhouse and has been with the company just a few short months.
“I am passionate about creating opportunities for everyone to get involved with the Performing Arts here in Stoke-on-Trent. We are starting new groups for all ages, (including adults) extending our current groups and we have a big community theatre production coming 2018. Why not come and join us?”
Ryan Brereton has been with the theatre for several years and was recently promoted to Deputy Front of House Manager. Ryan was born and raised in Stokeon-Trent and is passionate about the venues here. “The Victoria Hall is very special to me and part of my childhood; from school performances to comedy nights out – when I was much older, of course – and now as my place of work.”
