Our firm’s activities are: SURVEYS & CONSULTANCIES Established in Piraeus in 1956 by Nico Bogdanos, is the oldest firm of marine consultants, surveyors, valuers, appraisers and arbitrators in Greece. As the firm’s reputation grew, it became known as a “school” for marine surveyors and indeed many were hired by Classification Societies after few years of field training with Bogdanos. Our surveyors are qualified Naval Architects, Marine Engineers, ex-Chief Engineers, Master Mariners etc., providing the optimum blend of academic qualifications with practical experience and capable of effecting all types of surveys. Our in-depth understanding of ships and ship repair, handling of claims, familiarity with repair costs etc., spans more than 5 decades of dedicated service to many prestigious Principals, past and present. These include: -The Salvage Association (before it was sold to BMT), -Representatives of the American Hull Insurance Syndicate – AHIS -Representatives and Exclusive Surveyors to the US Salvage Association (Until the suspension of its activities), -Exclusive Surveyors to RINA (Until the establishment of their own office in Greece) -The Norwegian Hull Club, -The St. Paul Syndicate at Lloyd’s, -French, German and other Underwriters, -International Insurance Services Ltd.
