NARS There are a few reasons why I decided to purchase this mascara. when I first saw this new mascara from Nars, it was from one of the influencers I followed on Instagram. the design of mascara itself makes me feel sleek, chic, and cool. the red color is a good red, not too bright or saturated like tacky plastic red but more settle and subdued which looks more high-end. the design also related to this series which is climax. the second reason is I am still in search for the perfect and fit mascara for myself so I always want to try a new product. I have to admit that ulta marketing is very good which is if I buy Nars product for $50, I’ll also receive 3 free Nars product in sample size which is very good because I always need those small things to fit in my purse. also within the free product set, it has that best selling red color lips which i always wanted to try. without no hesitation, I immediately purchased this mascara and another lip matt to make it up to required price. I really impressed with the packaging because of its material. it is different from the regular ones, I’m not exactly sure what it is but it is a soft touch which gives expensive feels. also inside, it came with the little version of it!! for me, i feel like this is a win win purchase.

brand: nars category: mascara model’s type: climax price: $24 USD available channel: nars website, sephora, ulta description: AN INNOVATIVE MASCARA THAT DELIVERS BUILDABLE VOLUME AND INTENSITY IN A LIGHTWEIGHT, FLEXIBLE FORMULA WITHOUT CLUMPING OR SMUDGING. details: - Clump-resistant - Flake-resistant - Smudge-resistant

first time when i use this mascara, i felt like it’s not sticking much to my lashes so i had to do it couple times. since the brush is straight (like there’s no curve or anything), it is hard to use. after a couple of times i used, i felt like it’s getting more better because it sticks more and the straight brush turned out to be really good too and i was surprised. it also helps straight the lashes as well which i think this is really a great point because my lashes always messed up and not well organized. comparing to my usual mascaras, i think this one actually works better even though the one that i use is the most popular affordable one. so i think it is worth spending more, with quality and design. but to be honest, i wouldn’t spend $24 usd on my usual mascara. it is a good experience so far but i think there might be the one that fit my preference more and less expensive.

Good

but not great.

Love

the designs, both packaging and the mascara itself.

the reason behind my decisions for this item is i don’t have enough fall/winter clothes. for the past spring, i literally use my mom’s and uniqlo’s but i don’t have those knitwear or a nice sweater. so i started looking through those sales range because knitwear price point can be very high depends on material, of course, i want a high quality because it’s the warmest and also it’s a good investment. i had a few brands in mind but i’m actually open to new ones. then i came across this brand from revolve website and it was also on sales. it is 15% alpaca which means it is ok but not as great as wool or cashmere. i kept thinking and weight a few pieces and i thought this one is the best choice for now. the package came really fast and i was excited to see products that i ordered. so the other two pieces came in wrapped with paper and this sweater came in a plastic bag. well, i think it is understandable for this price. but then when i tried it on, it gets a little itchy and i felt like i didn’t expect it to be this itch. also the color is a bit blue-ish, i saw the description on the site, ‘blue mist‘ but it looked grey on the site so i thought it will be more to the grey tone. there was a quick thought to my mind that ‘should i sell this?’, but then i thought oh well since i bought it and i like the design and the fitting is great so i will try to wear it first and see how it goes later.

after i wore it once, i realized it actually itches on the arms part because i wore a tank top on the body so it didn’t feel the itch. but the warmth was pretty great i mean, at least it works. but i’m still wished the knit should be more grey. for the overall satisfaction, i gives 7/10 because i do love the end sleeves which are wide and good neckline. this knit is pretty neat and solid. i would definitely consider buying products from this brand again. but next time wishes i can see it in actual pieces. the cons of online shopping is you don’t really see the product itself so you can’t touch and feel or even try it on and see if it fits. but i guess if it saves more time and delivers convenient, i think it is bearable and acceptable. even though besides all those reasons.

URBAN DECAY

naked foundation is the foundation that I’ve been using since college. the main reason that keeps me stick with this brand and this specific foundation because generally, I have a good skin. this means that I don’t really have problem with acne or pimples. also, I have regular pore sizes. the only reason I have is dry and sensitive skin which needs to be fixed by skin care basically. this particular foundation is a very thin layer and like what the brand said, weightless. I barely feel the foundation on my face which is great because I am an active and ongoing person i don’t want to put a lot of makeup on my skin because I’m afraid that my face will get damage easily before I’m old. but of course, with this light coverage it cannot do full cover up like there are still some redness and freckles but the bare face idea and makeup like no makeup have been a trend for a while. the only thing that I don’t like about this product is the lid design. I felt like it is easy to fall out and on the pump head, there’s no locking system which means that when the lid fell off, the foundation can leak it out easily. I wish if they can fix these problems everything will be perfect because the design of the bottle itself is already pretty solid. feels weightless because of the double glass and classy at the same time. also, this makes the user feels like it is suitable for the price.

brand: urban decay category: liquid foundation model’s type: naked skin Weightless Ultra price: $40 USD available channel: urban decay website, sephora, ulta description: Naked Skin Liquid Makeup transforms your complexion. Skin looks natural, illuminated, and bright. It provides buildable coverage with a weightless feel, offered in a range of meticulously-calibrated shades. Smoothly

blend with the skin. Feels like haven’t put any make up on.

BIODERMA choosing the right and good cleanser is a very crucial part of taking care of your skin. I choose very carefully and focusing on products that are not using alcohol or any type of chemical ingredient. bioderma is one of the brands that I’ve been using for a very long time because it is the first micellar water makeup remover ever and Received much recognition since its debut. the key ingredient is Fatty Acid Esters which is basically the constituent elements of micelles. according to their brand represented, they are similar to the phospholipids of the skin cell membranes, also naturally help rebuild the skin’s hydrolipidic film. actually, they have many lines for different skin type. this line that i use is called ‘sensibio‘ which is specifically for sensitive skin type. the water itself is very light and not irritating at all. it is easy to use and can wipe all the makeup off in a couple of times. due to my skin routine, i actually use makeup remover twice, i use this one first and then another cleanser after. the quantity is suitable for the price and the biggest size can last around 2-3 months. one thing that i think it would improve the usability more is the lid. if they have the pump head for this line type it would be perfect.

brand: bioderma category: make up remover model’s type: sensibio size: 16.7 oz price: $14.90 USD available channel: bioderma website, amazon, walmart etc. description: A cleansing and make-up removing water that respects the fragility of sensitive skin. details: - Skin types: Sensitive skin - Skin concerns: Intolerant or allergic, Redness, Sensitivity - alcohol-free - hypoallergenic - paraben-free - fragrance-free - oil-free

LPA is also one of the brand that i never knew before but i discovered this brand on revolve website as well as jhon + jenn and i actually bought both of them together. i have to admitted that yes, this outfit was also on sales because i wouldn’t spend $200 usd for an outfit from the brand that i’m not familair with, regulary unless it is very intrend and ‘it‘ item. Based on the visual assessment, overall brand looked good to me. first reason is now this year fall trend print couldn’t be anything else than leopard print. recently i am pretty into skirts because i looked at my closet and i have tons of pants already. also this outfit is matching top and skirt so i think it is kinda cute. and the top is super cute with ruffles and the crop silhouette which i always looked for.

I normally buy clothes in the smallest size mostly in every brand because i am a petit. on the revolve site, while this outfit was on sales, the smallest was xs but i did see they do have xxs but it was sold out at that time. i’ve been thinking for so many days but i mean, if it doesn’t fit i could just ship back to them. when i tried them on for the first time, i realized it was actually fitted both waist of skirt and chest part. then i noticed that the straps of the top were loose and could slip of my shoulder anytime if i didn’t adjust the top a little lower. but i saw a merchandized picture on the website and i thought oh, maybe it can wear 2 styles like you can either wear it like a regular top or you can let it fell off from your shoulder like the picture on the next page. for me, i think i did a pretty good job about making a decision on buying clothes online so far. i mean it is not that hard nowadays to shop online and not be able to actually try it on. i think if i know my body type and size, it’s not hard to imagine myself in it even though all models on every website have a perfect body. if some website provides measurement and or even better, help you calculate your size based on your own clothing sizes. so why not do it then?

this is the brand from japan which is very popular among japanese girls and across SEA because of their super natural lashes with an affordable price range. i’ve been using this lashes for years and i’m obsessed with it. i always wanted to have a long and curve eyelashes like latino girls but don’t want to feel like putting on too many lashes also since i am asians, we asians don’t have this. i used many many eyelashes from different brands, then i discovered this brand which looks very natural like your own lashes. i used to thought that korea would have the best eyelashes because of their expert on natural beauty. but turned out when i used korean’s lashes brand i felt like you can still tell that is a false lash.

their packaging is pretty good for this price point as

september 2018

well. the locking system is tight enough and you can see clearly on the lashes from outside. also, they have a lot of sample images at the back of the package which is clear and big enough to see the details. if you compare the packaging of this brand with others, you will clearly see that this brand looks more professional and trustable. what i wish they do future in the future is have more lash pieces in one package and maybe design flatter because it will be easy to keep. since it’s the Japanese brand, everything is all in japanese which i don’t mind actually. because i think everyone’s perspective of japanese brands is all in a very positive way. i do believe one thing that ‘everything that made from japan is same as made in italy.‘ even though in terms of fashion, of course, italy still have more heritage and authenticity of craftsmanship but japanese people are really neat and they pay attention to every little detail as well. because of their culture and their history in the past, we can say that japanese people are the top hard working people in the world.
