Founded in Budapest in 1975, the Takács Quartet has been in residence at the University of Colorado Boulder for the past few decades. For more than 160 years, the Vienna Philharmonic has embodied the finest traditions of European classical music. Deborah Voigt is one of the preeminent dramatic sopranos performing today. She graduated from Cal State Fullerton, and got her start at the San Francisco Opera’s Merola program.

She is part of a new generation who has reinvigorated Portugal’s fado – a style of singing that blends the timeless Portuguese folk melodies and poetry with Arabic cadences and African and Brazilian rhythms. Her passionate, charismatic performances have won her legions of fans worldwide.
This Spanish superstar began singing flamenco music with her famous father, Enrique Morente, at the age of seven. She gained her own following after her appearance on the soundtrack of Pedro Almódovar’s film, Volver. Her fourth studio album was released in 2012, reinforcing her legacy as a singer with grace, passion, and fire.
