In the entertainment industry there are a number of scams from casting calls, seeking investments for productions and more. In CHAMELEON: Hollywood Con Queen, this scam has taken place for a number of years and has targeted stylists, makeup artists, fitness trainers and more. It utilizes a Hollywood hierarchy where everyone is connected via a network of assistants who talk to one another in order to connect top agents, directors and producers. Due to the lack of direct conversations, the head of this scam has impersonated assistants as well as directors and producers in order to get the intended victim to spend their own money to go overseas and to willingly provide money without understanding that they are furthering the activity of the scam. As the listener learns how the scam takes place and learns about those that are involved, we're brought into a world that affects everyone that is involved in the industry.
