Life Drawing and Illustration AIM OF COURSE The objective of this course is to introduce the participant to Life Drawing from an expressive and abstract perspective, using a clothed life model and objects, as deemed appropriate. Participants will use chalk pastels, pencil and pen. COURSE CONTENT • Basic Life Drawing • Sketching • Still life for beginners • How to be more expressive with your line INTENDED FOR Participants who wish to develop and improve their Life Drawing skills. AIM OF COURSE The main aim of this course is to assemble a high quality Art and Design portfolio. Students who have previously completed this course have been accepted onto full-time degree courses at Athlone Institute of technology, the National College of Art and Design, Galway Mayo Institute of Technology and other third level institutions. The course gives students the opportunity to develop and explore their creativity through a series of varied Art and Design experiences. The course has a practical structure, which gives the student a focused and solid grounding in a range of Art and Design techniques. Materials – All materials are provided excluding sketchbooks and portfolio case.
