Certificate in Quality Management, Lean Six Sigma and Creativity NFQ Level 6 AIM OF COURSE The primary aim of this course is to produce competent workers in the field of quality management and Lean Six Sigma, with the appropriate multi-disciplinary skills to meet local, regional, and national needs at an introductory level. This course will satisfy the minimum-skilled requirements for an individual wishing to commence work in a Quality Management environment.

NFQ Level 6 AIM OF COURSE The main aim of this programme is to provide graduates with an understanding of the basic principles of quality assurance with particular emphasis on quality management system standards including ISO 9001:2008, as well as auditing, statistical techniques and current trends. This course is designed for those who wish to gain specialist knowledge of quality management principles and how they are applied in the manufacturing, processing and service industries. This course covers all the fundamental quality related subjects necessary for anyone new to or considering a career in quality assurance. In addition, the practical application of all the course concepts is covered.

Solidworks - 3D Mechanical Design ENGINEERING/QUALITY MANAGEMENT

AIM OF COURSE Participants will develop the necessary skills to create realistic 3D mechanical models, generate accurate 2D dimensioned detail and create simple 3D animation while gaining a practical appreciation of 3D mechanical modelling. COURSE CONTENT • Sketch entities - lines, rectangles, circles, arcs, ellipses, centerlines • Sketch tools - offset, convert, trim • Sketch relations • Boss and cut features - extrudes, revolves, sweeps, lofts • Fillets and chamfers • Linear, circular, and fill patterns • Dimensions • Feature conditions – start and end • Mass properties • Materials • Inserting components • Standard mates - coincident, parallel, perpendicular, tangent, concentric, distance, angle • Reference geometry – planes, axis, mate references • Drawing views • Annotations

Autodesk Revit 2013 AIM OF COURSE The course is intended to give participants comprehensive practical experience of Autodesk Revit 2013 with particular emphasis on the collaboration, management, analysis and modelling tools available. Revit 2013 incorporates Revit Architecture, MEP and Structures in one package, thereby allowing access to all disciplines. Students will undertake regular project work in order to ensure that the theory is implemented through hands-on practice. COURSE CONTENT • Introduction to Building Information Modelling (BIM) • BIM in Management • Revit 2013 User Interface • Converting 2D to 3D models • Modelling in Revit (3D) • Massing Studies • Creating Schedules & Coloured Presentations • Collaboration and Worksharing • Rendering and Animation INTENDED FOR Those in management positions who require an understanding of the capabilities and potential uses of Autodesk Revit 2013; those who require up skilling from traditional 2D to 3D modelling through hands on practical’s; those wishing to collaborate outside of Ireland where Revit is now becoming an essential design team and management tool. Basic computer and keyboard skills essential. Previous CAD experience not required. Access to broadband is recommended and students will be given access to free student software and handouts.
