Discover how to use the camera you have, no matter how fancy or simple it is! Learn the basics of exposure, aperture, shutter speed and ISO. Spend a couple of hours in the classroom and an hour in the Garden shooting photos while the Garden is in full bloom. Bring whatever camera you have, including cell phones. Presented by Patrick Cullina Tuesday, August 25, 7 p.m. Patrick Cullina is an award-winning horticulturist, landscape designer, photographer, lecturer, and organizational consultant with more than twenty-five years of experience in the landscape field. He runs a design and consulting business that is dedicated to the innovative and sensitive integration of plants and materials into a diverse range of compelling projects nationwide and abroad--drawing inspiration from the both the natural world and constructed environments alike. Come away with ideas and inspiration to reimagine outdoor spaces at home and in your community with transformation in mind. Lectures are free and no reservations are required. Drawing Orchids in Black and White

Tomato Basics

Orchids are intriguingly complex. A simplified approach, using black and white media, aids in exploring and drawing orchids. This class is part of the Botanical Drawing Program. It is a prerequisite for Drawing Orchids in Colored Pencil. Previous drawing experience is strongly recommended. Understanding basic orchid biology can enhance growers’ abilities to cultivate them at home.
