Georgia Aquarium

Watch out for sharks at Georgia Aquarium’s newest gallery “SHARKS! Predators of the Deep.” The Shark and Ray Interaction has guests suit up and wade in a shallow area for an up-closeand-personal view of rays and sharks. For those who want the ultimate encounter, the Shark Cage Dive allows visitors to immerse themselves in the deep waters of the shark habitat. If hopping into a shark tank isn’t your thing, more encounters with Georgia Aquarium’s amazing residents are also offered. www.georgiaaquarium.org

Zoo Atlanta

The new Rhino Wild Encounter at Zoo Atlanta showcases one of the newest members of Zoo Atlanta - Mumbles, a Southern white rhinoceros. Go behindthe-scenes to meet and feed Mumbles and learn about his care. Facts about conservation in the wild will be shared in an informative educational presentation. See Mumbles’ habitat, learn what he eats and find out how you can assist with efforts to help this amazing species. World of Coca-Cola

The all-new Coke Insider Journey takes guests behind-the-scenes in a VIP experience where they have the entire attraction to themselves. Embark on a two-hour tour that includes performers conducting special presentations such as soda jerk demonstration and Olympic torch show-and-tell. Atlanta Botanical Garden

Entering the garden this summer will promise an entirely new experience with two outdoor art exhibitions as “SUPERnatural: Aerial Art in Motion, Glass Art in Bloom” is presented. Look up and you’ll see the first installation

called “Dream Flora,” a treetop aerial art installation above Storza Woods in the shape of brightly colored soaring birds. Look down among the flower beds and find 13 installations of about 150 pieces of brilliantly colorful sculptures. www.atlantabg.org

High Museum of Art

Your visit to the High starts as soon as you enter Sifly Piazza, which beckons guests to explore outdoor art installations including one interactive exhibition called “Outside the Lines.” The installation features thousands of hanging strands forming an environment that is accessible for those with physical, developmental and/or intellectual disabilities. Discover the magic of two of the most influential figures of 20th century art this summer when “Calder-Picasso” arrives on June 26. www.high.org

FERNBANK MUSEUM OF NATURAL HISTORY

Fernbank Museum of Natural History

Long known as a museum housing the world’s largest dinosaurs, Fernbank also has 75 acres of outdoor nature adventures. From WildWoods with its elevated walkways and tree pods to Fernbank Forest with more than two miles of trails winding through the 65-acre forest and a trickling creek, the experiences are endless as guests can craft their own outdoor adventure. www.fernbankmuseum.org

Jimmy Carter Presidential Library and Museum

Van Gogh: The Immersive Experience

Explore the life of one of history’s most artistic geniuses through digital projection technology, atmospheric light and virtual reality. The 20,000-square-foot space will project beautiful renderings of Vincent van Gogh’s actual paintings and will run through Nov. 15 at Pullman Yards. www.vangoghexpo.com

National Center for Civil and Human Rights

The Center engages visitors the moment they enter into an immersive experience for learning about the past, present and future for human rights and justice. Find the Lunch Counter Sit-In, where guests learn about training for lunch counter protests and put themselves in the shoes of nonviolent protesters, then experience the interactive portraits from human rights champions. www.civilandhumanrights.org
